After the concerns that have been expressed on here, can we please be assured - and in advance of the meeting - that there will be a complete, competently audited, set of Trust accounts available for discussion during the meeting?

You're very unlikely to get such an assurance on here Chammie, you're better off mailing a member of the Trust Board and asking the question of them.

Agreed, after the last set of 'accounts' and the figures circulated with the notice of the AGM, it was a bit of a despairing rhetorical question to be honest.
But, you never know.

Final reminder

I can't attend the trust meeting tonight so i would be grateful if someone can post the outcome of tonights meeting on here, hopefully common sense will prevail and the remaining funds will come to AFC/ Dale Roberts memorial fund. If any money is ploughed into Corby's youth setup then its a disgrace :evil:

I just think it'll be interesting how the Trust Board play this. Will they be making a recommendation to members to vote on, or just giving options and a free vote?

I'm not a Trust member so don't have a say, but obviously I'm keen to see the money come to us. While the Dale Roberts Memorial Fund is a worthy recipient, AFCR&D will be raising funds anyway for this via the Dale Roberts Memorial Cup event each year etc. so if the money were to come to us it may help to raise more money over time.

Its an important decision as the funds will really help us to move ahead with our plans for a Senior side.

Some of that money is mine as I was a Trust member, so I have contributed over the years to the "pool" of funds they have and I will be furious if it were to end up in the coffers of another football club. That would be wrong, I hope the Trust members do the right thing for AFCR&D.

I'm with you on this one Piggers. It'll be a desperate shame if the money doesn't go to AFC. I gave my money to save R&D, money which the trust now have, and I gave money seperately to the Dale Roberts Memorial Fund. I expect my money to still be used to save R&D - albeit in a different form.

Well? I assume it's not still going on. Perhaps they had loads to talk about. ;)

I don't know how much is allowed to be talked about on here I.e figures etc, but effectively it was voted to closed own the trust (which will take a couple of months) and to donate the money left to AFC R&D. Some will,be done immediately with the rest after the close down costs have been paid for.

Will there be a new one set up for afc or is it not needed with the new set up?
