I well remember images of a few Wimbledon fans burning their shirts outside the franchise stadium Milton Keynes at the first game, it made no difference at all as thousands of football supporters aren't worried about being plastic supporters and just want to watch football in a great stadium. I-0 to Pete Winkelman, 1-0 to Keith cousins. :(

Then tell me why our crowds have been shite in recent years. Tell me how you rate Milton Keynes with Irthlingborough. You cannot compare the two, it's an uneven match-up.

Probably because most our supporters have found something better to do with their money than to watch non league football, or maybe they were just plastic after all, maybe Irthlingborough just wasn't the right place to base a football club, you figure it out!

I'm amazed we haven't heard a peep from Irthlingborough Council after the loss of the Football Club that bore their name (albeit indirectly). It suggests that they had little interest in local recreational activities.

Most councils are too busy looking for ways to save money to notice.

I'd say the silence from them, the East Northants Council and our elected MP tells its own story. I appealled directly to our MP, and basically got effectively told it was "none of their business what companies do" without one reference to the Big Society which is clearly all talk and no action.

I couldn't give a stuff now, they're welcome to it - I hope it bankrupts them, both KTFC and KC.

Its a waste of effort loathing the man and all his cronies and sychophants, its just not worth it, he doesn't give a stuff about what we think of him anyway and he clearly hasn't got a conscience, so won't be losing any sleep about what he has done or the effect its had on us.

I am drawing a line under it now, AFC R&D is where my future lays and thats where I will be putting my efforts and energies - if that fails then thats it as far as I'm concerned.

I understand why people are upset and I'm not underplaying things, I'm as gutted as the next man, but its done, its over - time to move on !

I can't see why these have to be mutually exclusive.

I think it's essential we remember the good times at R&DFC, and how those were ended due to the incompetence / scheming etc of certain individuals - otherwise AFC Diamonds will have lost a vital foundation. Surely that's worth more than 5 minutes of reflection before "moving on". There's still scope for people to put in as much effort as they choose into building AFC Diamonds at the same time.
