Beasant interview
Re: Beasant interview
Be even better if they got their stories straight. We'll never hear the full story, and do you know what, I feel so sorry for the folk that did so much for the club, and the folk that haven't been paid. The whole affair is shocking, to say the least.

Re: Beasant interview
SS me too, I am owed a few quid myself which we wont get, I have been very critical of current owners and it is too late for us fans now but as a fair honest human being with morals I think the staff need to get paid before any other lifes are damaged - I do want the current owners to be pursued and to release any assets back into the creditors melting pot - but most of all I hope lessons have been learned and that this does not happen elswhere as it is hurtful to fans and damaging to the community.
Interview - I didnt detect any remorse in his tone and I shrieked with laughter when he blamed the government - oops!

Re: Beasant interview
Didn't Cousins say he handed over debt free and they changed that to say that the money owed by the club was covered by money owed to the club?
If that's the case then either Credit Control within the club was at best poor and more likely non existent, or the club has been handed over technically solvent but with no real cash flow inward likely and revenue streams dried up.
Either way to say it was debt free is bit naughty

Re: Beasant interview
On the face of it it may have appeared debt free but maybe there were historic accounts and/or invoices to be submitted for services undertaken that may not have been included in this assessment and it's interesting to note that the one person who may have been aware of such, namely Mrs Thompson, for whatever reason left PDQ after the new owners took charge.SouthRushdenJFC wrote:Didn't Cousins say he handed over debt free and they changed that to say that the money owed by the club was covered by money owed to the club?

Re: Beasant interview
we may have been technically 'debt-free' in that there were debts and credits owed to us but some of those credits went back years and had not been chased up

Re: Beasant interview
I got the impression from KC's comments at the Fans Forum that he was referring to further monies arising out of the Jackson transfer (to Norwich) and Tomlin's move to Posh which was being paid in monthly installments.Cotty wrote:.....and credits owed to us but some of those credits went back years and had not been chased up

Re: Beasant interview
Ask a stupid question, but when R&D goes out of business totally do the remaining fees owed to us from the sale/s of Jackson and Tomlin become void? We could be set for a windfall if Tomlin is sold by Peterborough.
I ask because it makes sense for any money that would have been owed to the club to be paid to the creditors.

Re: Beasant interview
An administrator/receiver/liquidator would try to realise as much cash as possible form the sale of assets and by collecting any amounts still owed. This would then be distributed to creditors with a charge on the assets, preferential creditors, ordinary creditors and shareholders in roughly that order after deducting their fees.BartonRaz wrote:Ask a stupid question, but when R&D goes out of business totally do the remaining fees owed to us from the sale/s of Jackson and Tomlin become void? In this case I doubt there will be much, if anything, left to distribute to any class of creditor.
Re: Beasant interview
Serious question here...
Why haven't any Diamonds fans hunted Beasant down and given him pieces of your mind and generally made his life hell for a bit? I'd certainly be doing that if he'd ruined my club.
