I would be astounded if we got 350 season ticket holders next season. I personally feel that this is far too optimistic. Now don't get me wrong, I feel we will get a healthy attendance for UCL level but there will be many fans who will be dipping their toe into the water and watching us for the first time on an ad hoc match to match basis.

Taking the P aside i'm glad that Kettrin supporters are being very careful about jumping into bed with one of the usual suspects with not a great reputation that hang around the lower pyramid clubs, i think people have finally cottoned on too the Rolls and co merchants and will not dance to their tunes anymore.

I'm afraid Kettrin under Sadact fell for the glossy image of Nene Park with his rose tinted glasses on and did not look at the real state of the premises and just signed on the dotted line.

Unless Sausage comes up with a magic wand and the Kettrin people throw money in vast amounts into the collection buckets it won't be long before the headline in the ET is 'Rolls quits Kettrin' about 2 days prior the AGM in June.

Plan for realistic outcomes - but there's nowt wrong with hoping for the best ;)

Our fanbase for next season is a massive unknown to us...... what is known is what our hardcore support is - anything on top of that is a massive bonus. We may find we start well in terms of attendances and they drift away, we may start slowly and build our number - who knows.

I'm not going to make any wild predictions about how many people we'll get next season, or how many season tickets we'll sell - all I do know for sure is that we'll be making sensible plans, having realistic expectations and won't be basing any decisions on "what might be" - that way spells disaster !!

At the end of the day I'm just delighted to have a club to follow and the feeling of optimism I have is a thing of wonder - I'm excited about our future :D

So we'll p*ss the league regardless of whether we average 500, 750 or 1,000 fans then? ;)

I'm not suggesting we budget for that or anything, I'm just saying with the fact we've got nearly 500 members, and considering I and many others probably weren't expecting much more than 300 (so we've already been surprised with how much support we've got), there's clearly a decent amount of people interested in supporting the club.

Obviously there's a difference between £20 for membership and however much it'll be for a ST, but hopefully a reasonable number of members would also buy a ST. Maybe at least 350 is a little too optimistic, but I still think we may be able to get 300 and its not like the certain other local team is going to be attracting many (as we've already seen) with their crazy prices for BSN or SLP football next season.

Of course I understand people's modesty in regards to the future of the club, we can't go into this thinking 1000 will turn up every week or we're going to get successive promotions or anything like that, cause that would be just silly, but I still can see us being pleasantly surprised with how much support we'll get and how this season has surpassed expectations in terms of crowds and the youth team winning silverware, hopefully next season will do as well, can't wait regardless of what division we're in :)

I have been following Rushden and diamonds for the last 10 years, and although I would love to buy a season ticket, sadly i never have, mainly due to working saturdays meaning that I could never guarantee making my money back.

500 members plus is a fantastic amount for the first season, but for the season tickets I think anything between 150-200 is a bonus. Season tickets are a big committment, and think there will be many more people who would prefer to pay on the day for the first season.

If i can get off working a saturday then maybe one day I can dream :D

Very good points made by everyone in discussing how many season tickets we may sell next season.

Whilst they are many fans that are willing to join as a member, there will be many like corby diamond who will not be able to commit to a season ticket purchase for one reason or another.
As long as the committee are realistic in their budgeting, which I'm sure they will be, then there won't be a problem.

Onwards and upwards. The future's white, the future's bright!

whilst this has gone a bit off topic!, also bear in mind the cost what the cost of a ticket is likely to be compared to the previous costs ucl prem last season was £5 to get in and Div 1 was £4.

With the number of teams in the Prem (21) that's a mere £100 for a full season, so a season ticket at (for instance) £90 is a steal and I think that's very affordable. That kind of price wouldn't be bad in the UCL1 either IMO (even with only 17 teams ). Ultimately we must commit financially to our club, it will become what we make it.

What and lose all that £££££ he has put into the club since he arrived? ;)
