If we had we wouldn't be watching a youth team right now.
That said, I think I heard that whatever we'd have bid Scunthorpe would have bettered it, and 100k+ doesn't just come out of nowhere.
Speaking of 100k, anyone know if Gill Wignall got hers back? I often wonder about it. Such an act of good will to try and save our club.

That defence splitting, precise through ball from Rob Gier was just perfection on a football field.

Ploppies without their main man Kelly tonight

Apparently calf injury.

I foresee an ugly and hard fought 1-0 defeat for the Plops tonight, hope so anyway. I was thinking that they would sneak a win for some strange reason, but I'll go with a defeat, I think they're that bad !! ;)

Made me smile when they said on Poppynet that Marcus Kelly ought to be played wide left where he could cause some damage. Jeez in his last couple of seasons for us I never saw him try to take his man on and beat him.

When I then saw him a couple of times for the Plopps at left back it appeared that he'd found his natural position.

It was like watching Cesc Fabregas, Andres Iniesta and Ronaldinho all rolled into one. Such vision...

Still have fond memories of that day, can remember it like it was yesterday.
I've never seen so many scenes of hysteria, when Billy Sharp but that ball in the back of the net. The reaction in the de banke was amazing, some guy standing behind me, nearly fell on top of me, lost my hat in the crowd too!!!
Can't think of many better days than that day, perhaps only beaten by the 3-0 win away at the scum.

Fair play to the Plops, 0-0 at half time away to a side starting in 5th place in the table is pretty good going - hope it doesn't continue ;)

'twas a fantastic reaction in the DeBanke for sure. However it was bettered, 1-0 at home to Scarborough in the conf winning season. The DeBanke never shook again like it did that day.
