I too would speculate that your speculations are near the mark.
It was surprising that last season we did not get any loanees from the Cobblers considering Harrimans connection to them, especially the young striker that went to Corby.

Afternoon all
I can understand the concern of people with regards to the events of the past 48 hours.
I've just uploaded a bit of a wider explanation over on the Part Owners forum around the events of the past couple of days, the immediate actions moving forwards as well as a bit of an update on general close season activities and ambitions for the coming season.
As always, I'm happy to speak to anybody directly about concerns, confusions or suggestions.

I have been privileged to be part of the current Board and still attend meetings to give my Match Day Safety and Community reports so understand the hard work and hours spent by all Board members to the good of our Club. Whist I personally had no concerns from activities in the last 48 hours I would urge all members to read Rob's piece. It makes clear the great work that has been done by Finance team, the Commercial team but above all the difficult discussions the Board members have to have to ensure our great Club continues to move forward. Thank you Rob, Alex and all Board members for your continued hard work on behalf of our Club. And I will say I Rob " trust the Board and the process" After all we voted you in.

Many thanks for your post on the official forum a excellent summary of the situation and i must say that we are lucky that
we have board members who do go that extra mile of to give the facts to the fans. Most clubs would give no info and leave the fans in the dark.

I totally concur with what DBSI has said. From an ET standpoint I spoke with Rob yesterday and perfectly understand the boards reasoning behind Monday evenings 'surprise' announcement.
I now look forward to learning who the new manager will be and also his assistant.
Nobody is doubting the job Michael did over the past 2 seasons and who will forget the victory at Harborough a year ago. But, as has been pointed out, it seems obvious to everyone that it was Shanks and Porter who owned the contact book and it is that point alone which made Mondays announcement absolutely necessary.
Players come and go and it would appear that with or without Michael the board were planning to overhaul the team. I am guessing that only a handful of players would have been asked to commit to next season - in truth if the club is to progress then this was inevitable. I know that the Chair would never stand in the way of any player looking to step up a level so I can only wish Charlie Green and Jamal Adams good luck at St Ives next season - I certainly would have loved those 2 players to stay!
Although several other players have already left, it is now an opportunity to bring in a new manager with fresh ideas and a fresh group of players. Unfortunately, this is likely to be without our skipper Jarvis Wilson who is likely to be missing through injury for a few more months at least.
And finally, I personally would like to thank not only Alex and Rob for the job they've done since taking over but also the rest of the board and volunteers. Without them we certainly wouldn't have a club to support!!

Having just read the statement from Rob on the members forum, I recommend giving it a read, certainly has quelled any concerns I had.

I haven't seen the news about Charlie leaving, but if he is going up a level then good luck to him. Let's hope the new Management has the quality contacts we'll need to replace them.

so when are the ordinary fans who are not part of the members' forum going to find out what on earth is going on?

A lot of the content of Rob’s post on the owners forum, as you can imagine, is not appropriate for the standard forum. I’m sure you can send Rob an email or message and he’d be more than happy to answer any of your questions. That has always been the case from my experience.

Completely understand that but do also feel that we have a duty to protect the integrity of the part-ownership and what it means to be a part-owner. The contents of rickthediamond's previous post are also very true.
It costs £20 to be a part owner at the base level, which gives you access to this information amongst many other things.
