Interesting way of looking at it I suppose, but a list of names doesn't take form and player depreciation into account.
Thats the the conclusion i get, that it is form not the quality of players necessarily.

When you look back to the play off final let's be honest, minus a couple of players (admittedly the better ones) the spine of the team is still there. I hate pre season but look at the results, only 7 games from that play off final saw 4 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses which is hardly catastrophic. Then look at the start of the league campaign last season, opening 3 league games played 3 drew 3. So 3 points in 3 and if we get 3 points at Carlton Saturday then it's equal on points to last season.
No they haven't produced a decent performance yet but as I was saying the other day it's only the second game of the season. If between 10 and 15 games from now the team and performances remain the same then I'll think differently. I'm pretty sure Bradshaw and nic e will come a lot stronger as they progress. It could help if people stop thinking promotion promotion promotion within the first 180 mins of the season. If it happens then superb, if it don't we go again next year.

Is the correct answer.
You don't judge a season on two or three games played in August. Too many still thinking in "pro" mode. Players with young families have to take holidays in July and August. Players at this level are often waiting to see if they get a regular game for their current club before committing to a move elsewhere. Players that you thought would be a regular suddenly up sticks and move when their missus complains they are going to be out all of Saturday travelling to and from away games.
Look at the club as a whole, at this moment in time I would say that the form and results of the first team should not be everyone's over riding concern.

THIS!
We are in a new league and have no real idea what to expect. 2 games in we have lost to a side we will no doubt hammer 5 past in the home game and another who will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season and challenging for the league.
Was important to win on Saturday, conceding 3 is not ideal but a replay would have been an unwanted extra game at this early stage of the season.
Start to reach for the panic button if after the first 10/15 games we are in or just above the relegation zone.
As for the FA Cup Horchurch will be a tough fixture, but hopefully we can make use of the home advantage and progress again

More worried about being in a relegation fight tbh how bad our defence is at the moment. Need massive improvement

I've not seen anyone on here saying we're going to nor expect to be promoted, just voicing their early season concerns. That's what fans do, and that's what this place is for isn't it?

Indeed - some people get very sensitive though.

And according to Peaksy after the highlights of Saturdays game, that is going to be his main focus in both of this weeks training sessions. If anyone can sort out our defensive problems it will be our coaching team.

Perhaps a couple of players on the posts at set pieces might help.
