Who is arguably the most famous and successful CDM of the modern era, so much so the role was named after him?
Claude Makelele.
Claude Makelele is 5"7'.
There is a reason why Brad has played over 150 times for the club. I'd like to see a poll on what the fans want;
A.) Diamonds retain possession better and have a greater chance of winning football matches.
B.) Oundle Diamond returns to Oundle, thoroughly entertained.

I simply used a metaphor, which as one online football dictionary puts it "A football (soccer) play with physical presence but little ball control, passing or shooting ability. A donkey typically "hoofs" the ball." That pretty much conveys my point perfectly, in one word rather than twenty.
It might convey your point, but it doesn't describe the Brad Harris I watched in around a hundred games for AFCR&D.
1 - Little ball control. Very rarely does Brad let the ball go away from him
2 - Little passing ability - you actually watch Brad, not the game, watch Brad and tell me how many times he gives the ball away in ninety minutes. I'll give you a clue, it's less than the fingers on one hand
3 - Little shooting ability - Brad's got a 100% record from what I can remember, 2 shots, 2 goals
4 - A donkey typically hoofs the ball - Unless under pressure in the defending third of the pitch Brad rarely plays the ball more than twenty yards, yes there are time when he will clear the ball, seem by some as hoof but that is a decision made on the position on the pitch, the time gone in the match and the score
I hope that given you a better insight into the role of the defensive midfielder in a semi-pro environment.
Interesting claims. Would love to see some Opta/ProZone analysis on that.
With the ProZone and Opta software costing a five figure sum I don't think that's likely to happen here anytime soon so you will just have to go on practised eye as a coach of ten years standing from every age from four years old up to adults, plus many hours on coaching courses and CPD including Talent ID.

I didn't realise we had to produce our C.V on here before expressing an opinion nowadays.
Im sure there may be a game on tonight that is slightly more interesting than reading weather Brad deserves his place or not.

There are delays on the M1 at J13 that might be an issue.

Well it seems we've self imploded again. We're just not good enough to beat a top 6 team away from home.

Egham 2-0 AFCRD. Two pens. Egham management must be chuckling to themself. That was a very even game apart from some very bizarre and suicidal defending.

Away at Egham in the semi
Away at Royston in the final
If we are going to do it, we are going to do it the hard way
