I didn't realise quite how awful the foul on Hipwell was for their red card until seeing the highlights. Only marginally less atrocious than this:

How was that not a sending off ... 2 footed and nowhere near the ball.

Difficult to judge. Northwood's only threat in the second half (not that there was much) came from our left side, but on a few occasions Hipwell was left marking two men, so you can't pin the blame on him. Need to see more of him before making a judgement.

I think that's very harsh. The Northwood foul was late and was surely to take down the man but I don't think he's gone in to try to hurt him. It was one footed too. You see fouls like that every Saturday night on the League highlights - it was a red but not anywhere near in the same region as the Maamria one.
