What makes you say that? They've just put in a great performance to beat a step 4 side in front of a crowd of over 200. I'd have preferred to face Leek.Bob's Bitch wrote:4-2, good news for us!

They're 10th in the UCL, if they were that good they'd be nearer the top.Formic wrote:What makes you say that? They've just put in a great performance to beat a step 4 side in front of a crowd of over 200. I'd have preferred to face Leek.Bob's Bitch wrote:4-2, good news for us!

I am sure most supporters would rather take the shorter trip to Deeping than the long trip to Leek.Formic wrote:What makes you say that? Plus we know all about Deeping.
Yaxley were losing 1-3 a few mins ago.
Aylesbury lost 1-2 to Chesham
Holbeach 0-0 playing et v Stourport Swifts
Re: FA Cup Draw....
From a distance perspective, I'm certainly much happier with just going up the road to Deeping than the relatively long trip to Leek. But from a football perspective, I've got to agree with Formic here, that's a superb result and league position counts for nothing in the FA Cup, we've got to be careful in this game and they'll really be up for it with a victory over a step 4 side under their belts.

So Deeping Rangers it is.
I think most fans would be happier with a shorter trip to Deeping, rather than a longer trip to Leek.
With Deeping being a league below. Although Deeping shouldn't be underestimated.
I also agree that league position doesn't count for anything in the F.A.Cup

Re: FA Cup Draw....
I was looking forward to a different ground and a day on the p*ss in Leek. Alas Deeping Rangers it is.
I can see there being at least 250-300 Deeping fan/locals there wanting them to go through. Add that to he 200-300 travelling Diamond's fans this is likely to be on of the biggest games in Deeping's recent history.
We no doubt have the squad to get past them but with the large home support and them being the under dogs with nothing to lose this will be a very hard fixture.

Re: FA Cup Draw....
Whoever runs the Leek Town TV twitter feed has got some serious egg on their face after their tweet yesterday:
"@AFCRD - when we beat @DeepingRangers tomorrow nite we play u in rd 2. I'm lazy to find out so - what league are you in and where do u live?"
I suspect it might have been pasted on the Rangers dressing room door.....
