It snowed in Northampton for about 45 mins, mid afternoon. Yes it was blizzard like but there is none around now.

If Sileby were worried yesterday then they will be extremely anxious this morning. Far more snow fell overnight than fell yesterday afternoon.
Don't suppose they have an army of volunteers to clear snow.
At least Grumpy and Dopey at Holbeach will have Snow White to keep them Happy.

Surely it's better to leave the snow on the pitch to insulate it and then review the situation tomorrow morning?

Yes it is much better, temp above freezing now so hopefully it will shift during the day, though if pitch is then wet and the predicted frost arrives tonight it may be a problem. A lot will depend on how much they want to get the game on and if needed how many people they can call on to help. Presume they would rather have us visit on a Sat than a Tue night rearranged game. I`m going for game on after 11.30 pitch inspection.

Oh dear.
@SilebyRangers
pitch inspected this morning and layer of snow covering a frozen pitch. Not looking good!

I was at Moulton Park this morning and looked in on Fernie Fields at 1.30.
All the surrounding area is clear. So no Health and Safety issues for spectators.
Probably a couple of inches of snow on pitch. There is currently, and has been all morning, a thaw. But don't know how well that ground would drain if it thawed too quickly.
Yes it would be best not to touch the pitch until tomorrow morning, but I doubt they have the manpower to clear the lines and penalty area, let alone the whole pitch.
Of course it could snow again this evening!!
But lets keep fingers crossed.

A call off for us, Holbeach and Cogenhoe kicking lumps out of each other resulting in a couple of red cards and a touchline ban for the Poisoned Dwarf wouldn't be a bad Saturday. Especially if Cogenhoe sneak a point or three

There's more forecast for snow tomorrow, I'm hope the game is on tomorrow but the more you look at it the more unlikely that it will be on.

Assuming the pitch is playable under the snow, if getting the game becomes just a case of clearing it, maybe we should offer to help? Means we wouldn't have to rearrange the game and keep our games in hand on Holbeach
