A difficult away game against a free scoring team so we knew we had to defend well so the decision to leave our best defender and player of the month on the bench baffled me before the game and certainly did afterwards.

Bottoms. If Holbeach win every game in hand, they're top of the league by a single point. Let's get back to winning ways at the D&D and hope the UCL's angry dwarves fall over before we're all on level terms again. Does anyone have any idea when we'll all be on the same number of games played again?

Agree about Ashton. Awful call, not one that necessarily cost us the game though. 4/5 players were up to par, Harris, ELJ and Finlay spring to mind, unfortunately the other 6 were way below what we've come to expect and we got what we deserved in the end. Pitch didn't look TOO bad from the side but of course we weren't there in the middle so who knows if that played a part.

Credit to Thurnby though, they wanted it more and over the course of the two games against us have proven to be a very good young side. I think Holbeach are yet to play them, so here's hoping they perform similarly well against them.

Always going to be a difficult match against a decent attacking side, but the second half performance let us down. Maybe time for a couple of players to be dropped, Fazel and Turner spring to mind although lack of option allow them to keep their places. Again no Gyasi or Dunks, who was in attendance. Maybe another signing is required to strengthen in the midfield.

Dunks has got a calf injury hence why he was there but not on the bench. Even though Brad was his usual self and I thought Bunts had a really good game too, I really think we missed Confue, for me he's become a must play every game he's available!!

As for the appalling lino that was behind the play all game - not even he could of thought there No. 10 was onside for their winner!! All of the Thurnby players were saying he was offside too!!!!

Gyasi or Dunks are both injured.

Very disappointing that we couldn't close out the match after taking the lead. Lorraine should have done better with his one on one trying to take the ball wide and then allowing the keeper to save without him attempting a shot. Agree with others that it was a dreadful call by Peaksie not to start Ashton. We missed Confue big time but in the end of the day poor defending cost us in the last 10 minutes. Everyone just switched off for their winner after we conceded the free kick but all credit to Nirvana who showed desire and clearly wanted the victory more than us.
It's days like today that the team need to graft more if they are to win the title.
