Wow, turns out I was wrong thinking we'd be in trouble, for a team with 8 men we were remarkably comfortable, Wisbech simply didn't have a clue what to do with their gift from the lunatic ref and the conditions certainly favoured us as well. As for the ref, joke, absolute joke, no common sense with the difficult conditions in mind and I genuinely don't think any red cards were correct. First maybe was a yellow, but no more I don't think, second he surely won the ball and third for Dunks unnecessary I think, I can't remember what his first yellow was for, but it wasn't deserving of a second yellow. He ignored blatant holding of Dunks in the box as well, baffling!!

But ref aside, big win and big 3 points against a team previously unbeat at home!

Whenever we get a player sent off it seems to bring out the best in team spirit, Wulfrunians and PNS come to mind.

I presume suspensions will kick-in in time for the FA Vase match. At least it will help Peaksy with team selection!

I see we are taking our time before posting score on OWS. Usually up within minutes, someone must be choosing their words carefully.
It will be interesting to hear Peaksy post match interview. I wonder what score the ref will get!!!

Sure you will hear more from me but as just about to sit down for a Ruby Murrey, for now as Paul Weller & the boys from The Jam would say "that's entertainment".

Indeed, we battled and battled and I liked how everyone, players and fans alike celebrated the final whistle as if we'd won a cup final, there was a real sense of unity after having gone through the injustice of being ****ed over by a referee who lost the plot, a cheer went up every time Wisbech overhit a cross or Finlay made a save (who it must be said was fantastic in the second half despite extremely tricky conditions) after we went down to 8, greay atmosphere in the away end too. So in hindsight, in an odd sort of way, going down to 8 men actually wasn't the worst thing in the world, it made victory that bit more satisfying at the end and we didn't give the referee the satisfaction of completely ****ing us over and changing the result of the game.

Having said that of course, the suspensions, while not the end of the world as we have a good squad, will still be a blow in the next few games and I wonder what Peaksy will have made of all that, is there some kind of system in the UCL for complaining about officiating, cause this was shocking, I'm sure we should have had a penalty for a defender putting his arm round Dunks in the box in the second half as well. Not a game I will forget in a hurry!

I reckon the suspensions won't kick in until after the FA Vase tie.

Can't quite believe what I just witnessed, a game ruined by the weather and the ref! He truly was useless, lanky streak of p*ss . He was simply not up to the job, the signs were there as soon as he awarded us a free kick for a foul on Dunkley 3/4 yards in the penalty area! He then sheepishly had to point to the foul taking place just on the line of the box.

Didn't see Bunting's foul so can't comment but Brown's superb last ditch tackle to get the ball only then to be shown red for it was laughable (some Wisbech fans were clapping him off!), and both of Dunkley's yellows were soft. Lost count of the amount booking shown, but in a game with not one bad foul and with the weather making tackling extremely difficult, the ref lost the plot and seemed to let all common sense go out the window. Just seemingly happy to book everyone in a yellow shirt. He took the Wisbech's manager plea for there to be a "12 man" seemingly quite literally!

Anyway enough about the tw*t in black. We were in complete control of the game all the way up to when Brown got sent off. After that it was a back to the walls job, but everyone to a man ran them self into the ground and put their bodies on the line for the cause. The entire back four were immense! Combined with Confue, Lorraine and Fazel who never stopped pressing and when they got the ball sensibly ran it up the pitch or cleared it to the corners. Finlay made some excellent saves and handled the ball brilliantly in the wet conditions. Not many teams will go to Wisbech and get a result, but to win in those circumstance a massive WELL DONE to all the guys in Yellow.

The reaction of the players and fans at the end said it all, there is clearly a real team spirit and will to win flowing through the squad. In the past I have criticised the togetherness of the team and our chances of us winning the league, but if we carry on displaying performances like this against ALL the odds, then I will happily be proved wrong on both fronts! If anything it would be good to go up just to avoid visiting the bleak cold town that is Wisbech!

Wow, now that was breathtaking to say the least, what a game!! Not sure the ref should ever be allowed to referee a game again, he lost the plot bigtime and the conditions made his decisions baffling!! Do referees in this league just think they are taking charge of a pub league game, Sunday league?? What a clown

In my own opinion of the game, bunts was unlucky and should have been a yellow, yes he slid in and could have been classed as reckless, the amount of water on that pitch made his slide look worse than it was. Thank god justice was done by dunkley scoring that free kick, was that not clearly a yard inside the area? I'm pretty sure the joker on the sideline flagged for a penalty but was quickly overruled  too much of that thesedays

Obviously the conditions made it tough in the second half, however the ref lost it. I'm sure Sam Brown made contact with the ball, how the f**k can that have been a red card? Now with dunks, can't remember his first yellow but I thought the slide for his second was bit wreckless, bottom line is unless he got it spot on he was going. At 3 1, dunks should have avoided that one.

The result is what matters, the remaining 8 was superb. The final whistle showed it, now that is passion for you, so proud of the lads today. Luckily we have a decent squad who can handle long buckby, eyenesbury and Boston, providing trek is right after the vase. Well done boys!!! :D

Remarkable match, and one that will live long in the memory. Finlay's handling was superb, there were plenty of saves he made that were a lot more difficult than they looked, his goalmouth in the 2nd half was a mud bath and he did brilliantly to find any grip with his studs to set himself to make his saves.

The attitude and the spirit of the lads was fantastic to see, all of them played their hearts out, Confue's levels of fitness are astonishing. The confidence this will give us, and the dejection our challengers will feel when they hear about the circumstances of this win, puts us in a really strong place going forward. Oh and Bunting's goal was a strike worthy of any level, let alone in the UCL.

The ref clearly lost his head. Brown won the ball, and Dunkley's 2nd yellow was identical to 5-10 challenges from their players that of course went unpunished. The officials' level of competence is a real concern, we'll have to keep putting in these sublime performances to overcome them.
