Josh has been with the U21's, he has previously been with MK Dons. I watched him against K*ttering U21's and he was MOM by a long way.
A tough baptism for him last night, but if we don't play these players in these kinds of games you are never going to get a proper look at them.

Couldn`t agree more, hard one for him to start with and sure he is a much better keeper than many would assume who saw him last night for the 1st time.
Even at 4-2 I was still convinced we could still go on to win, and if the Brackley team was as strong as it appears (just checked and of the 16 players for Brackleys game on Sat 1st the only one`s not there last night were Eddie Odhiambo, Austin and Turley & he was never going to be there to avoid any stick or reference to past habits he may have had, like never catching corners) coupled with the changes we made it was actually a decent result. P..sed off we went out though, as would it not have only been one more game to get through before the final?, but if we win the league and go to that place near the end of the M1 for another Cup Final, last night will be long forgotten.

Hopefully the keeper will be able to take some confidence from his second-half performance - youth players are never going to progress all the way to senior football and the first team without making mistakes, I'm sure if he gets another run out in the first team this year he'll do a lot better. Other than that, creditable showing against a Conference side. Can't imagine there's many teams at Step 5 that could put three goals past a team at that level, hoping we can do it again on Saturday without conceding four!

It was a great showing and just shows how strong a squad we have to run a near full strength Brackley side that close. Only 4 players that started last evening were in the starting XI for the match at Sleaford.
A thoroughly enjoyable match.

Our rather makeshift back 5 looked all at sea for the first half hour against the sort of pace and movement we don't usually encounter in the UCL. In fact Brackley missed a couple of sitters before they got their fourth. At that stage it looked like being a rout but we improved immensely in the second half, and looked the better side for most of it.
Overall a very creditable performance against a team from 3 levels above. Now back to the important stuff on Saturday!

Pretty irrelevant detail but Shaun Jeffers scored the first for Brackley, not Will Green as was announced on the PA (and as has appeared in match report).
Unless of course i'm going mad although i'd hope not as It was right in front of me.

Sure they had 2 Greg Pearsons on the bench as well. It only lists one on the report?
Seem to recall both of them came on

You must indeed be going mad as I was told it was a Sam OG & I doubt he would have confessed to that one unless it was him. Though match report did say the alleged goal scorer was under pressure from Jamal & Jack and I thought the challenge was Sam & 2 Brakley strikers. I'd only ever offer to do a match report if I got to watch the highlights prior to writing it. We all watch the same game but not many of us ever see the same things.

Haha! Really?! Of all the possibilities I didn't think Sam scored an OG!
