Crazy game. First goal was a total joke after 34 seconds and we scored 5 in the first half without breaking sweat, Kempston were determined to let us win by any means necessary.

The 3rd goal was a strange one. The referee gave a penalty but it looked from the PDB that he'd given a free-kick so nobody reacted.

Second half the wind picked up and destroyed the game really, thankfully we'd done more than enough in the first half for it to matter.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Great performance, we made much better use of the conditions than them and were frankly a lot more up for it. We looked sharp all over the pitch and maintained our focus all the way through.

Only concern was the omissions of Brown & Gearing. Anyone know any reason why neither of them even made the bench? Please tell us there's nothing to worry about ahead of Saturday.

With the pace of Holbeach's front line I'd love to see Sam at left back with Ashton & Dolman in the middle.

But I agree with your assessment about the back 4, worrying that Jamal looks crocked again !! :(

It was a poor mistake from Jamal before their goal as well and his frustration was probably shown with that wild lunging and pretty dangerous challenge a few minutes later. But great to be top, even if it was a bizarre game in which we didn't even play that well and 5-1 wasn't really fair reflection of the game at all, Kempston were just very poor in front of goal and we took our chances very well in the first half.

Bring on Holbeach, 1st v 2nd, very exciting :D
