sorry, what an absolute shambles, how many chances do they need ,they have 3 u18s teams and cant muster a team!!!!,,,,,how many other games have they cancelled this way??? bit embarassing on the league aswell to let it get this far!!! if the game is monday ,whats to say we are not in the same situation as tonight.......tough i say....the points would have been awarded if it was earlier in the season,i for one am NOT happy to let our lads play a poxy freindly ,risking injuries .and then what about the final.....is that next week also,,,,and the lads that are at college have revison week at school and was rather hoping this would have been done and dusted.i also know of a local company that has re arranged work shifts to let our boys play......so its pretty fair to say they wont be allowed to change their shifts for monday and a dead cert they would be able to get off work for the fina(if thats next week)l,,,,,,,,,,SHAMBLES!!!!!!

how will oxford be out of poket?????

Oxford City are obviously a pathetic joke of a club. Conference North! There's not a club in the UCL which isn't more professionally run! Three under 18 sides and yet once again they can't raise a team, rubbish. What if we can't put out a strong team on Monday, will the league say oh fair enough try next week or the week after whenever suits you? Obviously that won't happen because we're a PROPER, DECENT club who will fulfil our commitments.

3-1 up according to last tweet.

This Reynolds lad sounds rather good doesn't he ;) :)

On the subject of Oxford City, I think the league have handled it as well as they can due to the issue of the west division title being at stake to two other sides. Pitchero's comments were certainly clear, and I appreciate him posting them. OCFC should hang their heads though, 3 times this has happened hasn't it? Shameful to cause so many problems to other parties.

Bit special isn't he?! Defo deserves some more chances in the first team next season! :)

Woodford and Daventry both won last night.
So if Oxford City actually turn up next week and we win we're champions, draw or lose and we finish 3rd.

Dunc

I am a bit miffed at you having a go at me (and the rest of the management committee). You should know that we try and run the league in a professional way without costing clubs hundreds of pounds in fines like many other leagues do.

We have to be fair to all the clubs involved (Daventry and Woodford prior to Thursday night) and I`m sure if the boot had been on the other foot, then you wouldn`t have been very happy if we`d simply given the game to Daventry or Woodford?

I`m not altogether sure what Dunc`s on about regarding a local company giving players time off (??) but having been involved in u18 football for almost 30 years, can assure him that the league isn`t a `shambles` and I`m really disappointed he thinks that way - after all, the league bent over backwards to allow Diamonds in when the deadline had passed by (before anyone knew how big the support would be).

To answer his final question now that the game has been re-arranged for Tuesday I believe (incidentally leaving me no time to write the programme for the final either!), if Oxford pull out for whatever reason, then the points will be awarded to Diamonds, and of course that means the title.

We have also ensured (as far as we can) that Oxford field their usual NSYL team and not their `senior` u18 team. I will be at the game checking the registrations (my team played them 2 weeks back so I`ll know anyway).

Perhaps Dunc you will have a chat to me at the game?

Thanks for pointing out everything Steve, but as Basil says our lads would be at a real disadvantage if firstly Oxford actually turn up and secondly if we beat them to get through to the final on Thursday
