This should be highlighted on the OWS, not lost in the match preview, so that there's no ill feeling on the day.

Our bar takings will probably be significantly down, the matchday experience won't be as good for those that usually drink, it's just silly, especially when you consider that at any other league game people are allowed to drink where they please.
Will this mean that Dale's bar will be shut?
Maybe - but people lived with this rule at Nene Park for league games - as they do with the 92 league clubs. Given this will only be our second senior home game I don't think too many will find it difficult to break a habit of a single senior game.

It's rather ironic given Carlsberg are the sponsor....

Having been to many St Neots games last season as well as all AFC R&D games including all but one friendy so far this year i'd grown used to being able to have a beer during the game! I take your point though.

All clubs have to adhere to this ruling, the same applies in the FA Cup and Trophy - I went to a Trophy game at St Neots where they enforced this ruling. Its not us saying this, it is FA rules and I'd be bitterly disappointed if anyone were to willingly break this ruling. We've worked so hard to get to where we are, to end up getting fined because someone can't survive 90 minutes without a beer would be very upsetting.

But you could have a drink in the clubhouse during the match, is this right or is'nt it open?

You can still drink in the bar, but you must not drink in full view of the pitch.............Who makes these rules up? 8-)

Only up to 2.45pm and at halftime as clarified on our OWS and Bozzer's other post.

It was the same when I was in a box at Wembley, we had to shut the curtain and watch the TV screen in their, but same venue American Football, different, Twickenham Rugby Different, ALL football fans are drunken hooligans (not just our Pigman ;) ).
