It was a joke decision. The temperature in Mansfield was 3 degrees and climbing at noon - still 3 hours from kick off - with little sign of frost. I went to the game at nearby Alfreton, which was played on a frost free pitch - even the area in the shade - and it was still 2 degrees at 5pm, so there was no danger of frost affecting the end of the game.

Today's ref would have been Mark Brown, who is already building a bit of a reputation - 6 red cards in 6 BSP games this season - http://www.andysstats.co.uk/refs.asp?re ... son=200910 - so perhaps avoiding him was the only silver lining from today's cloud.

I went to derby county vs swansea city, great stadium, 31k+ crowd, crap game mind, but a decent day out. made me realise what excellent vfm the bsp is though, i feel like my pocket has been picked!

I've always wanted to go to a bsp game, but it's kinda hard living in Glasgow lol. I'm happy with Celtic though. Well, when i say happy

We were just coming off the M1 and about 5-10 miles from Mansfield when we heard. Sounds like a complete farce, what the f*** is up with refs these days

Ended up going to watch Forest vs Middlesborough, managed to blag a student ticket for 12 quid :P
Forest won 1-0, fairly dull game though.

I went to Luton v AFC in the end with a few others as a mate had some spare tickets, pretty poor game to be fair, a draw would have been a more fair result and better for us, Luton fans don't half moan, calling for Money to be sacked! AFC looked a good side again though, solid and kept the ball well especially the big lad Kedwell uptop.

On another note Nathan Elder played, glad we didn't sign him he looked pony! Such a lucky goal he scored.
