Its over all the conference forums. Apparently the first bid is a conference record, and they are going to come back with a bigger bid.

No-one seems to know whether its a record for a conference player or a record amount for a conference club to spend. Either way that still makes it a lot of money.

Press conference earlier today, with people from Sky, BBC, etc.

1, Matt Tubbs has signed believed to be close to six figures with add ons.
2, CTFC Debt has been wiped out completely there are no shareholders loans or creditor debts.
3, Evans made an unsuccessful six figure offer to Rushden for Lee Tomlin.
4, Evans also made an offer of 100,000+ for another player, He declined to comment who. Brodie????
5, CTFCs policy on buying players is everything is paid in one hit, no staggered payments.
6, They have all the money required for the next two years banked in a reserve account at the bank.
7, The club will look to make 3 to 4 more signings in the next week.
8, Steve Evans has no budget for Crawley Town F.C only a top 5 finish target.
9, Its likely the club will break the clubs transfer record again before start of season.
10, Bruce Winfield confirmed the club had some new shareholders based in the far east, but the club
is still controlled by the same people and the existing shareholders still remain in place with the exception of
Prospect Holdings who have been bought out by Bruce Winfield.

No budget? That's a great way to run a business, no way can that fail

This has a major hint of the Notts County situation about it IMO.

Re: 10)

Far eastern backers? I thought they usually bought Premier League so they could try and make serious money out of them. Why would they target an upper-mid table side in the BSP? What real potential do Crawley have, maybe they could get into the League but I'd say their limit is League 1/2.

If we can hold out for 300k plus I'd be happy to accept with a sell on clause, even if he would be going on to play against us.

I don't think I see Tommo working with Evans the way he does with JE.
