Cheers for that, shame it's likely to be called off, but at least we'll have plenty of notice. Sadly, I won't be able to make the rearranged trip (assuming it will be played midweek). :(boroughpark wrote:Hi all,
the game will be off saturday we've had temperatures of -8 and the chairman described the pitch as like a road to top that it snowed today. A referee is expected tomorrow and will 99% call it off to save you travelling. hope too see you mid week!!

10 day forecast isn't promising - can't see any non-league footy being played for at least 2 weeks...davealbon wrote:Pitch inspection tomorrow at 3:00pm, now confirmed on the OWS.

Assuming it's postponed as expected, the plan is to play the game on Tuesday 12th January if the weather has improved sufficiently.
I know it makes sense to rearrange this game ASAP, so as to limit our and i presume Workington's fixture backlog, but is it really sensible to rearrange it so close. Unless global warming kicks in between Saturday and the rearranged Tuesday, i would suggest the chances of there being play on the Tuesday are less than the original date.davealbon wrote:Cheers for that, shame it's likely to be called off, but at least we'll have plenty of notice. When is the draw/games played in the next round of the Trophy? I guess there could be a chance that us and a number of other games will not be played until after the draw.
