the game will be off saturday we've had temperatures of -8 and the chairman described the pitch as like a road to top that it snowed today. A referee is expected tomorrow and will 99% call it off to save you travelling. hope too see you mid week!!
Cheers for that, shame it's likely to be called off, but at least we'll have plenty of notice. Sadly, I won't be able to make the rearranged trip (assuming it will be played midweek). :(

Pitch inspection tomorrow at 3:00pm, now confirmed on the OWS.

Assuming it's postponed as expected, the plan is to play the game on Tuesday 12th January if the weather has improved sufficiently.

10 day forecast isn't promising - can't see any non-league footy being played for at least 2 weeks...

Meaning who knows when we'll get this game on, we could be seeing it called off more than once I would have thought.

I know it makes sense to rearrange this game ASAP, so as to limit our and i presume Workington's fixture backlog, but is it really sensible to rearrange it so close. Unless global warming kicks in between Saturday and the rearranged Tuesday, i would suggest the chances of there being play on the Tuesday are less than the original date.

When is the draw/games played in the next round of the Trophy? I guess there could be a chance that us and a number of other games will not be played until after the draw.

It was pretty chilly in Cumbria last night - http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/news/tempe ... r_1_657739 - even if Workington wasn't as cold as some other parts of Cumbria.

Third round is on 30th Jan, so Hayes & Yeading would have to be re-arranged if we advance
