There's also quite a bit of deja vu with respect to when the Trust tried to run RDFC. With their Trust having prominent roles there may be the issue of funding being linked by creditors. Perhaps the bigger concern will be the consequential liability issue that meant Trust Members in prominent roles with the club felt their houses were at risk.

No evidence that Lee Thorn will be bringing anything financially to the table. Safe pair of hands as possible Chairman in the well respected Ken Samuels who their fans trust. These two with Mark Severn, Trust Chairman plan to run day to day business. Will be interesting to see how that works with Thorn's full time involvement with RTS, Severn's full time job and Samuels living 80 odd miles away.

I would be of course considering the memories I have of the place, but I'd much rather that than our bitter rivals continuing to play there, even if it means they go out of business, I know its been 6 months now but I'm still not happy they're there if I'm honest.

I find it amusing that they think they can “sweat” the facilities and succeed where everyone else has failed. I remember when KC took over as Chairman in November 2006. He brought in an industry specialist specifically for that role – remember how successful that was! Then the Beasants had the same idea and got nowhere.

Still, I’m sure if they display the intelligence that they do on their forum, they will be fine. They must think everyone at R&D, who knew the area better than anyone, just did nothing for six years. Any money their Trust has will be quickly gone to help out IL and all their directors will be liable for the clubs debts.

At least it gets IL out of a hole as his debts will now be shared by the others. I suspect he will quickly become the GC of the board, and resign (“due to pressure from the fans”) before the end of March leaving the others to carry the can.

I wonder who devised that plan ! ? ! ?

Further to my original point, I wonder how they will convince the appropriate authorities they are solvent given IL seems to have withdrawn funding. Their income from games wont cover the bills so they will have to get commitments in another way.
They also need to remember the huge bond Wrexham were forced to lodge with the Conference before they were allowed to start this season.
