In my two second half cameo appearances for Uni of Hudds Sports Journos Group B this season, as a holding striker, we haven't conceded a goal. I think when I come on, the rest of the team play better as they feel it is like playing with 10 men ;)

I presume you've accidently used the wrong emoticons there ;)

But seriously, things are looking bad, we may be lucky to have JE here much longer, he doesn't seem like the sort of person that will accept being p*ssed about like this and I wouldn't blame him for leaving either for what has been a sh*t few months :(

I'll be the utility player on the bench.

My USP is that I've played on the pitch last year and vice-captained Thrapston to victory. Positive Mentality and all that psychological jazz. I'm also the undisputed Diamond Burger champion, never failing to have at least two at games.

Gaffer pick me, I'm your John O'shea,

Is it me or are we heading towards the D-Day in English football. Last season the media went nuts over the Portsmouth affair. But looking down the leagues it’s becoming common place. Coventry City finds themselves in money troubles. York are posting big loses, we are looking like we won’t see out the season and Kiddy have been brought from the edge in recent weeks. The FA has failed English football as a whole and is far too concerned with the Premier League. The income Non-league teams get is pitiful compared to those in League two. Its a crime that they take our funding for youth football away. The FA needs to pull its finger out of Richard Scudamore’s arse

I said when the Prem was introduced and the ban on only 3 foreign players per team was introduced that football would slowly die. There needs to be a system where only 3 non national players can be in any SQUAD let alone team, that way the top teams would need to start looking further down the tables to get full squads. This would in effect have a knock on down the leagues. We as a club have been lucky in recent years with our sold players, Jacko, Belly, Tommo. without the sales of these players then we would have been in even more financial mire earlier. The whole of football needs its arse kicking.

The FA do not have any powers over the Premier league which was initially the brain child of the top clubs, headed by David Dein of Arsenal, in the early 90's responding to the lure of possible TV cash. Out of interest everyone blamed Rupert Murdoch but it was intially the idea of Greg Dyke when he was the top man at ITV. Sky TV who were incurring losses of £14 million a week, however, seized the opportunity to sell satellite dishes/receivers and hefty subscription television services and the rest is history.

Even the current recession is having an impact on future tv deals:-
