The fakenham fan was clearly out to bait the fans on the pdb, and i saw everything from what was up his shirt to is backside in which he decided to pull out. And i disagree in what was thrown at him, clearly thrown by a boy no older than about 15. Its things like this thats going to get the club into trouble.
Bit of a poor song for jack, someone explain why rabsi?? whos probably a fan is mentioned in the chant, one of the lads at the back hit the nail on the head when he said "why is people singing about rabsi when they dont know him?? New song soon please
The lads played well, alfie was great, quincy scared me a bit at times...He will come a cropper one day.
And many thanks to Haydn for a great belly buster...top quality...

Ok I'll clear the jack song up. I'm Rabsy (nickname) ,I've known jack for a long time and used to play football with him back in the day, I kept nagging at him to give afc a try and thankfully he did. I said good things about him which obviously got viewed as arse licking by the other lads
Hence some wise guy called Jaff came up with the song ;)

Think I posted in the Olney thread that I wasn't too keen on how eccentric Quincey can be sometimes and I think in every game so far there's been at least one occasion where he's come a bit too far out of his goal and/or made a risky move where he can't really afford to slip up, sort of like Barthez used to and if he carries on I would not be at all surprised if he makes a mistake and ends up conceding as a result and like you say BR, hopefully it won't matter too much. Having said that he made some fabulous stops this season.

I do think the few Fakenham fans at the PDB end achieved their aim in the first half, as the Diamonds fans went from getting behind their team with the various player chants to becoming more concerned with the cliched tribal chants towards the opposing fans which do little for their own team.
I made the comment after the first game how refreshing it was to see 100% of the Diamonds fans get behind their team, both during the game and in the post-match comments. I guess it was too good to last.

Duke of Wimbourne, I agree with what you have said however what i disasgree with is the fact that yes there is a counter argument based on todays game.
I really do take my hat off to you guys and everyone involved for the change of the dog and duck, all the volunteers and all the people who work their socks off behind the scenes... Its you people who have made this club and in no way am i getting at anyone.
I thought the match was quite entertaining, however what I and other members on this board is trying to raise is the actions of some fans based on what happens should a single opposing fan taunt them.
Apologies if i seem to be bleating on about nothing, but i am only picking up on what Diamond Warrior has raised, and its things like that which spoils a matchday for others.
I hardly think that i should be shot down for what i am saying, and i am not trying to open a can of worms...however just think that this needs addressing. If i cant say it on the forum, then what can we as fans do?

Thank you for your reply, as I said, I am not having a go at anyone in particular, however I find it difficult to please every one, and if people don't like the match day experience then I feel really bad about it, all of the board and the volunteers, try their hardest to make sure that fans have a fantastic time at the D&D, and if it is spoilt, then we take it personally, we try not to, but we are only human, and have no experience at running a football club, please cut us some slack 8-)

I agree. Not once have I criticised the volunteers. As mentioned, I do as much as I can in my spare time - which is little compared to many.
The incidents that I raised are not criticising the stewarding. As DoW mentioned, many of the stewards have little experience - you would hope the fans conduct themselves in an orderly manner. The point I am making - Lucozade bottle or not, an item was thrown by an AFC R&D supporter at today's game. The club does not want to be associated with fans that think this is OK.

Ok then on that note lets all get behind the fantastic respect campaign which will be announced in full next week and launched at the match on Tuesday

Like i have said i really do take my hat off to you all. I just think that sadly the actions of one of the afc fans today just didnt go down well with me and some others. I really do hope this is a one off and the next time i go i can once again say what a great match it was.
People can always ask what counts as banter and what crosses the line?
Lets not start a new debate eh  ;)

A few of the chants do occasionally go over the top but they are chants that are sang at every football league ground and many non league grounds throughout the country. The trouble being in the UCL is that ever minor thing is magnified, in the conference or football league we would not even be discussing it.
In regards to the lucozade bottle, yes that shouldn't have happened but I think we should just be thankful that someone didn't put the bloke on his arse!
