I agree, the people who have got the club this far in such a short space of time is amazing and some congrats to them for their achievements.

As far as I was told Nene Park was/will be offered but will then be put to the vote, but maybe it will be a vote with only one option, ie no other grounds available or an offer that will be too attractive to turn down??

Just intrigued as to how the club will grow further especially when you will need to go to the FA and UCL shortly in the new year with the answers.

something needs to happen especially after the effort level some people have gone to.

Dont know many local farmers that will give some land away locally either.

Well, and its purely a personal perspective here, I will nail my flag firmly to the mast - I will not support any move that involves putting money into the pockets of the people I feel responsible for the demise of our club, I would rather walk away now than compromise my principles and do that. That includes buying land from the current owner or renting from them - I'd want nothing to do with that.

I must say, I too don't like the way people have started to talk about the Committee as a "they", we are all fans and members and in this together, thats what One Fan, One Vote, One Community, One Club means !! That is our strength !!

Time will tell what options we have for next season re: where to play, I don't know and I doubt others on here who claim to know do either. The Committee, who have done pretty bloody well so far, will present their options to the fans/members and then members will have the chance to vote - I will put my faith in the people who have got us this far, and done a terrific job in the process. I'll wait and see what options are placed before us. Talk of Pitch 2 at NP is just that as far as I'm aware, talk - and most of that generated from Ploppynet. Roll on the 17th Jan when we get some firm proposals rather than lots of speculation I say !

We haven't gone to the trouble of starting our NEW club, to let some dodgy businessman make money out of us again.

As a community club, we should have access to community available land at some stage.
What people need to get into their heads is that this project is going to be a long term committment, we do not have the millions that Max poured in, but it will be our club 8-)

I take it that you've checked then, and that is not a throwaway line designed to cause a bit of friction and worry?

Or maybe you simply don't have a clue and ought to pipe down unless you have facts on what is to be proposed?

Personally makes no odds to me if your at Nene Park pitch 2 or not. I was merely asking the question local people are thinking about.

Been to numerous matches this season involving AFC as an unbiassed supporter and been impressed with the achievements.

Not a member yet but thinking about it.

Dont need to pipe down about anything, just commented on the rumours I have heard locally.

Questions are fine I think, and glad to see other local fans interested, but I think suggestions as to what the committee may put to us, as well as suggesting what is and isnt possible from a sedentary position are unhelpful at this stage.

This covenant stuff is totally lost on me so i'm not going to try and pretend I know what i'm talking about but could someone clarify one thing for me - Does the covenant mean football HAS to be played at NP until 2015, or does NP just have to be AVAILABLE for football until 2015...?

Spot on Pigman. Not one penny to anyone connected to the current owners. I couldn't go along with that either and I don't suspect many others would too. It would be fantastic to have to be playing at the general NP location for sentimental reasons but not at any price. Lets not forget the club has history at Hayden Road too and if the opportunity came to play there, even if only for a season then I think that would be fantastic.

Agreed Committee have done an amazing job and I am, as ever, very grateful to them indeed.

I can't wait to find out more about the options for next year at the meeting on the 17th. It would be nice with these big decisions to have some time to consider the options and ask further questions and to give proper consideration. I hope it's not a case of the information being presented on the night and then been given a few minutes to ask questions before being expected to vote on it. I also hope that we are fortunate enough to have the benefit genuine options although this is probably a luxury in our position.
