OK, some possible opponents in Round Three, the final regional round.

Now, because of our location, I'm not sure if we will end up in East or Midlands section,(from I what I can see, North London counts as East, rather than South). It really depends on teams progressing I guess and how many regions the FA break the draw into. As I've said, previous third round draws looked quite tight in terms of regionalisation amongst the teams left.

(Of course, we were in East section when we drew Fakenham or CRC and Yaxley, but Midlands when drawing Basford - teams may get shunted around again).

If we are in East section, we might face:

Ampthill Town (Step 5)
London Lions (Step 6) or Brightlingsea Regent (Step 6)
Hadleigh United (Step 5)
Dunstable Town (Step 5)
Ely City (Step 5)
Southend Manor (Step 5)
Haverhill Sports (Step 7)
Hertford Town (Step 5)
St. Ives (Step 5) or Wisbech Town (Step 5)
Enfield (Step 5)
Bethnal Green United (Step 5)
Brantham Athletic (Step 5)

If we are in the Midland section, we might face:

Sutton Town (Step 7)
Boston Town (UCL Step 5)
Spalding United (UCL Step 5)
Shirebrook Town (Step 6) or Walsall Wood (Step 6)
Southam United (Step 6) or Long Eaton United (Step 5)
AFC Wulfrunians (Step 6)
Causeway United (Step 5)
Rocester (Step 5)
Holbrook Sports (Step 6)
Gornal Athletic (Step 5)
Norton United (Step 5)
Borrowash Victoria (Step 6)

Now, my prediction is that we will find ourselves in the Midlands region, though of course some teams may get shunted into that region from elsewhere whilst others might leave. We'll find out on Monday.

Given that I'd love to get through to Round 4 and a fully national draw, couldn't say no to Sutton Town at home - though they did beat a step 5 side today I believe. Would hate to get Spalding, a tough UCL opponent (assuming they don't get shunted East, or we do...or something!)

What a cracker, I paid a whole 5 pounds to watch that, now that's value for money. Basford, I thought we the best side I seen so far this season, their number 7 was very good, in fact I thought they where fast and lively all over the pitch, there keeper must be the fattest and also loudest keeper I have ever heard or seen.

Our front two, are two good for this level, and I struggle to see how Alfie is going to push his way back in, but what a problem to have!

The whole team put in a a fantastic level of effort and you cant fault anyone, well one but I want dwell on that as enough has been said about that previously.

Gillys goal has to be the goal of the season, cant wait to see it on the video, and well done to the terrace, first time since I have been watching that I thought was really loud.

Today was one of those days you just have to savour as they don't come along that often, well done everybody, I'm happy tonight, and that says a lot!!

Come on Guernsey away!! :D

Why oh why did he follow out for the ball and concede the penalty. The defence were holding their own at that time

Arrr come on our defence wasn't bad at all . Lets not forget Brasford attack was the best we have played against this season especially there wingers!! If it wasn't for our defence (no sh**t) we would have lost the game . Joe merril never stopped and glad he is back , no disrespect to whom he replaced .

I tried to guess who we'd draw in the previous round and missed Basford. Presumed they were a bit far for us but obviously not.

From a selfish point of view I wouldn't mind a North London side, but i'd be happy with pretty much anything that isn't UCL. Spalding would be a nightmare.

As for some of the earlier Devon suggestions, sod that for a game of soldiers! Unless it's Guernsey or Newport IOW i'm not up for a trip like that. I'd go, but i'd be hacked off. ;)

I believe only us, Boston Town and Spalding United from the UCL are through to the next round. St. Ives Town can join us if they win their replay at Wisbech.

I believe their number 7 who looked very nippy is the brother of Craig Westcarr ex-Nottingham Forest, Cambridge United, K*ttering Town, Notts County and currently playing for Chesterfield.
