Re: Day 2 PAYPAL Donations LIVE!!!!
KC said the beer festival, actually lost abit of money last year. I think People tend to go to more traditional venues, like the Green Dragon's or something?
We've got to get with the times. Theres no point building a casino, because nobody has any money to gamble and the ones that do will happily drive over to Northampton to go.
I personally think a McDonalds or something would be the best bet, becuase it WOULD get used.
With talks of our facilities being too much for just US to maintain and talks of a merger etc.. being dismissed because its with them 'erberts. The best outcome would be share our facilites but not with them, surely? So who to share with?
Like i said we've got to get with the times, and give the community something it needs. I work in a huge supermarket in Wellingborough, and I would suggest, and this is no exageration that atleast 10% of the customers I serve, are of Eastern European Origin (probably Polish). I havent been on the lager, and this may sound completely bonkers but how about setting up a Polish/European team?
They love their football, but if they can watch Wisla Krakov or Lech Poznan for about £4, how many of them are going to pay £17 to watch Diamonds?
Rent out pitch 2. £2 to get in. Polish food. Polish Posters. Who knows how many of them would turn up?

In respect of the Polish team, it's a good idea in principle, but i don't think it's a long term answer. If we're going to aim somehting at that specific market, it really needs to be R&DFC.

Yeah but we can't judge since there was a powercut at exactly the same time that meant that the plan broadcast live World Cup games fell on its face.TwinkleToesTomlin wrote:KC said the beer festival, actually lost abit of money last year. After tomorrows meeting, I think it will ramp up.
Hopefully a clear strategic plan to how we are going to do this task, using tools such as a mass publication of posters, I'm sure we can begin to create some serious momentum.

Well it would have been originally but who'd want to buy it, its ancient, over 20 years old I believe and is on its last legs it seems. Although stopping using it completely would save some money. The Godfather wrote:Can't we sell the scoreboard? Surely thats worth a bit.
