That's sure to solve all The Steelmans problems isn't it. Perhaps he'll perform better at step 3 than he did at 4.

Solihull Moors have given Marcus Bignot permission to speak to Grimsby Town.

There can't have been many former Diamonds players to manage in the Football League. Mark Cooper is one, Barry Hunter another. Are there others?

Dean Holdsworth at Aldershot is the only one I can think of. Like Holdsworth, Jim Rodwell has gone higher up the chain at various league clubs, but he did have a caretaker role at Boston after Steve Evans was banned. Arguably Brian Talbot was a former Diamonds player when he managed at Oldham and Oxford Utd.
