I also understand that part of the clawback clause was that any increase in the value of the land should it be developed would trigger a payment to the Griggs Group, not justits sale - so, for example, building on the land around the stadium would increase the value of the land and therefore a payment would be due. Get 2015 out of the way and expect movement !!

I agree i dont think the covenant is worth the paper its written on a simple way they could get round it is, the nene park site includes all pitches including that pitch on the oppositte side of the bridge and if a sunday league side were allowed to play on that pitch then i see that as a get out clause for them all, What on earth the plan is i dont know but as a merger didnt happen any name change imo is still going to be ktfc its still going to have ktfc history its never going to replace the club i love as RDFC!

I am doing my best to support and love afcrd and i will in time love it like i did RDFC but if it was to move back to nene park and pitch 2 i could not support that team anymore. Can you imagine the gloating from the ktfc fans? it would be horrible... posters on the gates banners etc... whether we owned it or not if as a club we are aiming to get back to the conference in 10 years then wherever we make our permanant base needs to be permanant and a place we can build up with the regulations and hoping for a ground share when we get big enough is not an option i would back.

Good post Mike, I agree with a good bit of what you say. I'm a bit worried by the conference in 10 years stuff though, where has that come from? In 10 years I'd be happy to be established in the Southern League on a ground we own, never paying silly money to over rated crap players.

If pitch 2 is currently used by FootballCV where do the Ploppies train? Do they use pitch 3 and the pitch the other side of the A6?
