Real Bedford win 3-1. If they get promoted will they merge with Town? As both would be in Nat North.
My understanding is that it was postponed last summer as any merger would require the "new" club to compete in the division of the lower club.
Anyone have any info on that?
Spalding won other semi 1-0.

Yes and no. There was a merger proposed, Bedford Town's fans were not happy, there is history with McCormack, so the Bedford Town directors pulled out.
As long as ground grading is met a merged club would be eligible to play at the level of the higher club (see Dunstable Town/AFC Dunstable who are merging this summer).
I doubt if there will be any further talks this summer, Brownie may have some inside information. Ground grading may be an issue for Real Bedford (why invest in the ground when 90% of your fans are watching a live stream?) so ground sharing could be a more likely scenario.
