Happy are we, Sprouts are poor and I stick with my prediction Diamonds will beat and finish above them.

Not pretty, but a win nonetheless. A quiet first half for both sides, we were slightly better in the second, and scored from a impressive set piece.

How was Shane Bush? Do we need another striker?

I'll just answer the second question. Yes, we need another striker.

Tough act to follow after how good Ty was for us. Personally I think we do need another striker, as not convinced he’ll be good enough.

Given the stage of the season and the water that's gone under the bridge in the past fortnight, the result was all that mattered today. The team almost picked itself and I'm sure Andy will have learned a lot from that 90 minutes. 3 points against decent opposition is a great result, given the circumstances.

Clearly there is at least 1 addition required promptly but besides that, I thought 1 or 2 of the attacking players didn't really show what they were capable of today. The right subs were made, with enough time for them to impact the game and impact it they did. Great to see Jesse back involved and nice also to see Ravi in attendance.

The other Andy will also be chuffed with his Tamworth side as they beat Barwell 6 - 0, though I'm not too surprised about that, when a team with the money they spend and the players they have is struggling it's clear the players don't want to play for the gaffer and that 6 - 0 score line is those players sending a message to their old gaffer.

Onto us, a clean sheet and 3 points against Hednesford, I'm happy with that, a good way to start Andy's reign, we missed Deacon today but the main thing was we kept them out to secure the points.

Scrappy performance, 1-0 win from a set piece and no attractive football in sight. But a win is a win and it was the points that mattered today.

Yes, we desperately need a striker. We either give Jones his chance or we get somebody in quick. Shane Bush offered absolutely nothing and we need to change that quickly. (Thanks for the leaving present Peaksy)

Agreed, the wide players need to offer more, though I thought Connor did well today. Paddy immense again as always.

Looking at the positives though, it's the defence that are going to keep us in this play off hunt, possibly more than the attackers, and a clean sheet is always a good result.

Fancy us to nick the points on Tuesday night, but would like to see some transfers in before next Saturday for sure.
