Have to agree. The lottery money having an effect. We will soon have more ex Puritans than they have ex Diamonds

This is always going to be an ongoing problem for our Club at the level we play since we have adopted the practice of not offering contracts to the majority of our squad. A player gets left out of a starting XI, he feels aggrieved rightly or wrongly, and then he decides to move for a few quid more to a rival club. They aren’t all going to be loyal club servants such as Tom Lorraine or Ben Farrell. This is something that we must learn to accept and seems to be more of a problem than we experienced at Step 5 level.

We're no longer a fish that's 10x bigger than every other fish in the pond. I imagine it was far easier to obtain and retain players then compared to now for that reason.

Totally agree and that’s why our management must continue to promote the Club as professional in it’s outlook and behaviour.

I also wonder where this leaves Smith who is definitely a 20 goal a season stiker. Can we play Shamsi/Smith and Jones together in a font 3? That would be interesting with Williams/Dias and Jesse making up the midfield perhaps.

The jury is out on this one but I really hope this works out for us

Finally, yes Brownie he'd be on good money but I am guessing that the club Lottery has been used to help out again.
So basically another Ryan Robbins who likes collecting tracksuits?! :cheesy:

This signing was facilitated by the Club Lottery money. If you needed any proof that this lottery is worthwhile just look to Snedker and Shamsi. If you are not already a member now is the time to join. We have 500 fans attend games but less than half play the lottery. It only takes another 20 members and the prize money goes well over £2000.The added bonus is that every winner is known to us. No stranger 500 miles away.

Yes, absolutely this, it was a fantastic idea to raise money to add to our playing squad and if Snedker and Shamsi (and perhaps Jay Williams as well?) were indeed facilitated by the Lottery money then that is good business. If you can afford a tenner each month then please do!

And not forgetting that you have pretty decent odds of winning something and drawn every month, certainly compared to playing the actual lottery, winning the quarterly prize at the start of the year was by far the most money I have ever won.
