Quick question for those there. When Ben came on what position did he play?

Wide left in a 4-4-2.

After the highs of Tuesday night (and the players deserve a huge amount of credit for that result) this was a case of back down to earth with a bump. We really did look lacklustre right from the off. As mentioned surely 4-4-2 is the way to go. It seemed like Ashton was being accommodated just for the sake of it yesterday. To put our best attacking player in Ben Acquaye on the bench is crazy! It was a ridiculous penalty to give away and Biggleswade never looked back from there. We really missed the presence of Dove up front massively although thankfully he is back next week according to the interview. Akubuine was very positive when he came on and surely needs to be given more of a chance.

We are often too slow to start and need to be proactive rather than reactive during matches. Begin on the front foot and set the tone early on. Like at Tamworth, albeit against a very good side, we stepped it up in the second half when the match had already gone. The urgency we showed after our penalty was too little too late, although ironically we had a couple of chances near the end to force an unlikely draw.

We will need to pick ourselves up this week and prepare well for the huge FA Trophy game. I’m sure we won’t but one thing is for sure, if we play like that at South Shields we will get absolutely annihilated. We showed in the games against Banbury how good we can be, we just need to believe a lot more and do it on a consistent basis. It’d be typical of us to go up there next Saturday and get a positive result, let’s hope so.

The Biggleswade Town manager Lee Allinson has resigned this morning, stating that he doesn't feel he can take the club any further.

I don't think he'll be short of suitors.

…... or because he's just been appointed manager of Hendon?

So Lee Allison leaves a Step 3 club who are currently 6th in their league to manage a Step 3 club who are currently struggling in 21st place in their league. Now that certainly is the challenge that he’s seeking!
I suspect, however, that the salary on offer at Hendon is far superior to anything that Biggleswade Town can provide.

Looks like we played Biggleswade at the wrong time. Half of their team have walked today and all gone to Hendon, following the former Manager.
