Did anyone know that Nic Evangelinos had a trial at Fleetwood Town in the summer?
It was mentioned on the NPL Podcast prior to our first league match. They knew all about Nic's pedigree and who he played for in the NW last season. I believe they also mentioned the likelihood that he was looking for permanent work in the Manchester area so the recent news of his departure came as no shock to me.
I wish him well. He certainly performed excently for us and was very consistent in his level of performance.

Is Ben ford the man to fill that position? Did himself no harm today with a nice bit of skill before finding the bet. Only time will tell, as it's difficult to find a decent left midfielder

He did really well today, and went a long way to redeem himself for the wasteful wayward shots at Rugby and Lincoln (although did start with another today). He looked like he could hit a decent corner and seemed happy to do the hard yards getting back to defend.
It was a shame that Nic's final game for the club was so poor, culminating in his final effort being a corner that went straight out of play. It will be interesting to see which direction his career is going.

I think Nic will be playing just to keep fit, I think his focus will be on his new job etc for the present - we may yet see him in the shirt again!
