Well, if we were going to get a step 2 side at this early stage of the competition I guess Concord Rangers are the side we would all have chosen. It'll still be a challenge though.

It is a match we should be confident of winning though, I'd be more so if we were at home, but their confidence will be low with their recent results so we can go there with a positive mindset! As the higher ranked side they should be the favourites, but I'm sure Rangers will spout off about R&D being a big club trying to reclaim their spot etc etc (just as Hornchurch did) and forget we're a Phoenix club ran by fans without the resources of the old club!

I'm certainly not underestimating them - at the end of the day they're two steps above us, but if we play to our best we should beat them - but it's a tough ask, but the kind of challenge that is a good test of "where we're at" right now.

One thing in our favour is I probably won't be able to make it - whenever that happens we seem to win!!! :hmmm:

Chances are they will sack their manager this week and the players will respond positively to the new man!!!!!

They recently lost 1-2 at Eastbourne to a very late goal, but Borough had completely dominated the game and Concord were deemed a very poor side.

I remember our last visit to that part of the world was Hulbridge Sports in the Vase, and the only good to come out of that day was that I won the raffle.

They may have turned a corner. No goals still but a 0-0 draw against Bishops Stortford

I hear CR battered them as well, 10 shots on target.

I disagree Pigman I don't think it's a case of if we turn up and play well we should beat them. Let's get this straight there is a HUGE gap between the leagues our clubs play in. All I expect is for our players to turn up not leave anything on the pitch. If they do that we have a slight chance!

Have to agree, having watched a couple of Conf South games this season the level of skill is much greater and the pace is faster, but having said that Concord are currently the weakest link and are there for the taking if we play to our best capability.
