Sounds like we miss Bunting a lot. When is he back? On the plus side at least Egham are losing

Obviously a poor result but much worse than that was the performance so flat and lifeless. We miss bunting badly as we have no control in the centre of midfield and the game without him
We never created anything against there keeper other than two simple catches. As always we left it way to late to make changes, Stevenson was poor Tuesday and today surely the young striker should have got more than 5 minutes. Good luck to who ever had to name man of the match.

We just weren't very good, basically.

Complete opposite of Tuesday night, offered nothing in the way of an attacking threat, Kings Langley obviously did their homework on us.

This is the first time in years I've come home from a game being angry. It was a pathetic performance and we didn't deserve anything. It's bad that we lost but the manner in which we lost was even worse. Thought the ref generally had a good game today, think we might have had a case for their number 6 seeing red though. I'm particularly disappointed in our complete inability to adapt. Playing out from the back wasn't working so what did we do? We continued to do it right until the final whistle. They were bossing the midfield because they had more players in that area so what did we do? We kept the same formation and continued to lose the midfield battle. Stevenson needs to be put on the bench on Saturday to kick him up the arse after 2 sub-par performances in a row. Hoban was awful - once again he must've completed 10% of his attempted passes, completed 10% of his attempted dribbles. It just isn't good enough and I'm getting increasingly frustrated with him. And what's the point in bringing Parsons off the bench with 5 minutes to go? What is he able to do in that time? It's completely pointless.

Pivotal match of the season - I thought we got what we deserved today, nowt! I called for the two changes that were eventually made, but Richards failed to deliver and Robbie was far too late - Stevo had another poor game!

We're now looking at a situation where we need to get back to winning ways quickly and hoping others fall apart, both scenarios looking doubtful at the moment - I'm surprised by how poor we were.

I hope I'm wrong, but my mind is now turning to a playoff spot!

Kings Langley probably deserved it today based on their effort and commitment !!

We move on, but full of hope and optimism rather that a sense of confidence and belief!

I hope I'm wrong, but looking at KL's fixtures, the title is theirs to throw away, unless Egham can keep their run going.

I'm not giving up hope yet - but the pendulum has definitely swung against us!

Talk about an over reaction! Yes we were poor but is it really worth rant and a moan on that scale.

KL came with a game plan and executed it well. But other than that if you were a neutral you wouldn't say it was a top of the table clash. A scrappy game lacking any real quality. As shown by their striker when he blazed the 1 on 1 chance to make it 2 nil way over the bar.

There are plenty twists and turns to come and I'm sure us and other teams will drop more points along the way. No one seems to want to win it at the moment.

On another note you mentioned the ref, I thought he was very much blowing in our favour. Often blowing for soft fouls and touches. Obviously I don't mind that but I think some of our fans are quick to shout down refs and moan when they don't show cards etc. I can see why you thought he had a good game, but if I was looking at it from a KL view point I'm sure they'd say different.

Anyway on to (Harry) Potters Bar and hopefully 3 points. Loads more points to be collected and lost yet. I hope we don't lose too many more for your blood pressures sake!

Second best all over the park today and no complaints. Credit to KL who clearly have many very useful players and backed up their excellent recent run with another good result.

Hopefully the lads won't drop their heads and will keep plugging away in the coming weeks. We've seen before (Royston etc) that other teams' best form is hard for us to cope with, it's a good job they can't replicate that top form every week otherwise we wouldn't be top.

Some of our players weren't at their best today as has been said, but they weren't allowed to be by a very good KL side. It was their day, we'll live to fight another one.

On a plus point - Egham drew 2-2 (they were losing) and Chalfont lost 1-2 !

Bad day for us to have a shit day at the office though :fool:

Yes a lot of it is just due to frustration but games like today are the ones we really need to be winning - if 2nd, 3rd and 4th win their games in hand we're suddenly in 4th. We have shown that we are good enough to be at the top but games like this just aren't good enough.

Poor performance all round. They snuffed us out and took 3 points, which is 3 more than we deserved.
Forget it, move on, we are still on top of the league table.
The team will reflect with the management and put it right in time for the next game.

Nothing to panic about.
