The derby is going to happen, no question, but it's all about timing. Hillier Cup or not, the first one is going to spark a lot of interest on both sides, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot more turn up than did for Barwell. I would suspect there would be segregation as result and would likely be a logistical challenge at either ground as Olly says. The only thing with the first game being a league game is at least there's the close season to plan and prepare for both clubs.

Won 6-5 on pens after a 2-2 draw. Should have won comfortably in normal time but kept letting Desborough back in it. Frustratingly allowed them to equalise in the 90th min. Couple of average performances and a shocker from Joseph (nearly as bad as Dolman's pen!)

Jesus christ what an awful game.
Bad points: Liversedge looked completely isolated up top at times, Claudiu was very very greedy again, Hall didn't have a great game, Joseph played pretty badly by his standards.
Good points: Quigley was a machine as always, Berwick looked bright when he came on and the two full-backs didn't play too badly.

Really should have won it, but I don't think we need to worry too much about the individual players performances, it was the NFA Hillier Cup for goodness sake! We have a much more important game in the league on Saturday.
I thought that Charlie Butt had a good game.

Difficult to know what to make of that really. It appeared to be a game of significance to Desborough whereas we were never going to go into the game with the same mentality.
I don't think Scott Joseph played particularly badly but his body language / general demeanor was unnecessarily negative throughout. Swearing at his teammates for almost no reason whatsoever at times. Weird.

There's no doubting Scotts talent, but many times during games I've heard him moaning. I think it's just part of who he is.BartonRaz wrote:Difficult to know what to make of that really. He also got out of the ground as quickly as possible after the penalty shootout, not sure what to make of that.diamondgeezer1 wrote:There's no doubting Scotts talent, but many times during games I've heard him moaning. He probably had to be somewhere, I'm sure there's nothing to worry about!!!ParcelFace wrote:He also got out of the ground as quickly as possible after the penalty shootout, not sure what to make of that.diamondgeezer1 wrote:There's no doubting Scotts talent, but many times during games I've heard him moaning.
