One place above the team we just beat and just up the road, in a draw where we could have drawn step 1 or 2 sides 300 miles away, that's a pretty kind draw at this stage for sure. Having said that, being away from home makes it tough and we'll obviously be underdogs for this one. No disrespect to Barwell, but I probably would have preferred a club with a half decent ground at this stage, I don't think they have covered ends so perhaps we won't be able to create quite the same atmosphere as we had at Dover, but hopefully we can have 300 at the very least there and make it another good atmosphere.

Great to hear us being mentioned on national radio today though, Colin Murray mentioned us at the very start of the show as well as in the draw obviously :D

This is winnable! The have only won once at home this season in 5 attempts, losing 3. That's no great record. It will be difficult no doubt but with Hoban hopefully back fit and Berwick, Joseph and Lorraine to pick from up front we are more than capable of causing them trouble and nicking a goal or two. Scoring first will be extremely important though as you don't want to be left with trying to break them down getting the eqauliser and being sucker punched on the counter. Not only that it will get the fans going!

With Leicester playing at home, the crowd may be down in numbers in terms of home fans as you are likely to get less floating Leicester fans!

We need to travel in numbers and get the noise levels up from the get go!Get the away fans to outnumber and out sing the home fans and make it feel like it's our home game.

90 minutes from the first round! F*ck me I'm up for this! These 2 weeks are going to drag. Roll on the 24th WE CAN F*CKING DO THIS!

Their ground is very Step 5 apart from a decent main stand. 3 sides are uncovered hard standing. They were at Step 5 not long ago so as you can imagine it's not the Ritz.

Looking forward to Barwell game. Let's travel in numbers, big numbers. :D

I didn't mean to sound rude early on. (If I came across it like I did) I didn't mean to. It was a weird dream that I had, very weird dream, (slept dream) that we would get Barwell (before fa3q draw) I won't tell you the ending.

Then when listening to it on talksport. As soon as Barwell came up, knew we would get them. Very bizzare. Sorry to bang on about it.

Just wondering what odds you could have got us drawning Barwell.

Come on mighty Diamonds.

That shouldn't be too difficult. They are the third worst supported team in the NPL with an average home crowd of just 197 this season. Let's outnumber them 2 to 1 at the very least.

Shame we couldn't get a ground where all the fans were gathered together to make atmosphere! Or a covered terrace.. Dover was immense

There's a covered terrace to the side, which looks promising:

Talking of chants, my dad (who is from Oldham himself) was quite impressed with our singers' geographical knowledge on Saturday with the chant 'You're just a bus stop in Oldham'

BartonRaz wrote:Winnable but tough. I saw Barwell a few weeks ago when they beat Grantham 3-1. Grantham were horrific but Barwell looked a decent outfit. They've got ex RDFC youth-teamer Dom Brennan who started up front with Iyseden Christie. They've also got ex-Cobbler Kevin Thornton.
Did Brennan look any good? Never rated him when I saw him in the youth team, he had pace to burn but not a lot else. Surprised to see him playing at Step 3 when others (Aynsley being the most obvious one, although most will know the reasons behind his career failing) haven't made it above Step 5.
