Just come home after watching 45 mins of the most dire footie I have ever seen at Cogenhoe, not sure if watching Chelsea will be any better.

I did say at the start of this thread that we could not expect anything tonight, certainly not from Holbeach or Thurnby.

Holbeach are currently doing what we haven't done all season and taking their chances. We haven't put a team to the sword all season. Yes one nil two nil is all well and good, winning 6nil however sends out a message!

Alright not the greatest of opposition but they are certainly making light work of it, and eating into our goal difference at the same time. We need to go to Desborough on Saturday and try and do the same. We have the ability in the side to do so why not go away from home and stick 4 or 5 against (no offence to Desborough) what is a very average mid table side. Thus sending out our own message to Holbeach.

True, we have put a few teams to the sword this season, but not many and not many recently either and Holbeach's GD is only 8 worse than ours now, a couple more big scores for them and they'll have caught us up. I'm sure they'll see it as a score that sends out the message that the Cogenhoe result was probably a blip rather than a sign of things to come and it is an impressive result, but we're still in a decent position I feel, although it could go down to the wire! That late goal at Holbeach could be absolutely crucial.
