Well we're back to winning ways, and a win after going behind is always good for the confidence. Hopefully we can build on that and put in a good shift at Long Buckby.
Wisbech dropped points tonight, needing an 82nd-minute equaliser to draw 1-1 at Deeping. Sileby were 3-1 up on Thurnby but lost 4-3.

Attendance 262 I believe, not bad considering the competition and the miserable weather (and there being football on the telly too).
Not a classic, but a win is a win, could have scored sooooo many more !! Scotty could have had an easy hat trick !!!! Or more !!
Lots of chances created and as long as we're creating them we'll start tucking them away soon.
Not a match to live in the memory for long, but through to the QF !!

Cavell Jarvis scored the Flourmen's goal and not Jonny Hazell. Confirmed on FA Full time site.

I can't bring myself to reply, no one cares what you did during the day!
Bit of a strange read to be honest.

I think many of these Groundhoppers are an unusual breed and they spend an absolute fortune on travel costs to get a 'tick' against a ground they havn't visited before. The football on offer is often incidental.

Think you're right. I can understand ground hopping from perhaps the Northern/Souhtern Prem upwards, but to do it at our level is a bit strange. Some of the step 5 and below teams can play on glorified park pitches, so to call yourself a "ground" hopper is perhaps pushing it a bit.

There was one hopper whose blog I read a while back who seemed to go to nothing but step 6 and below grounds and I agree, I see the appeal of travelling to see new grounds that might have a few facilities like a stand or 2 and something distinctive, but as for step 7 park pitches with a crowd of 5 and amateur football on display, I'm not sure I see the appeal tbh. A unusual breed indeed :?

Another groundhopper visited the Sileby/Thurnby match last evening at Fernie Fields. He did a head count for the attendance and made it 18 which included at least 6 of his fellow groundhoppers.

The official attendance was 28 so there must have been 10 in the bar/toilet.
