Just checked and we did win a game in our first season. Beat Whitworths 5-3 after extra time in the Preliminary Round. Went out to WTFC in Round 1 on pens. Beaten in Round 1 last season by Huntingdon...one of three wins against us last season.

Nathaniel Ansu. I saw him get the hat-trick on saturday, and he could / should have had six. He made a great run down the left before cutting in and firing just over early on, then showed some neat finishing skills for his hat-trick before narrowly missing the target with only the keeper to beat a couple of times in the second half. He appeared a few times for the U21s last season, and is now 19, and also plays in left midfield / defence. He and Jeffrey Obeng were the stand-out players in the team on Saturday, with Jake Reynolds being rather restricted in midfield.
Ansu and Obeng are former Ghanaian schoolboy internations. At least they are from Ghana, the other bit probably isn't true. Andy Keen was speaking to a group of us before the first team game on Saturday, and said that they are both really promising players, but still very raw at the moment. They are both still in their teens though, I believe, so have plenty of time on their side.

Well I hope anyone parked behind the toilets doesnt get an emergency and have to leave early because they wont be able to get out !!!

Cars are parked line after line with no gaps. Asked the parking steward about it who basically didnt care .

Very questionable policy.

Took us a while to get going, but when we did it became target practice. Good to see all the strikers on the scoresheet.

Special mention to Atsu who looked really good when he came on, a pity he didn't get the goal he deserved but i'd like to see him involved more regularly in the first team. The other young lad did well too in fairness.

Their ground was unrecognisable from our last visit in Feb 2013, so much so I felt like I was at a different ground. It still must be pretty poor by Southern League standards and I imagine some serious work would have to be done if K*ttering get promoted.

Totally dominant performance and in truth we should probably have won by a clear dozen goals - very professional job done tonight and delighted to see us knock a few goals in.

I agree about Ansu, looked very bright when he came on and deserved a goal.

Very pleased with that, you can stay for another week Peaksy ;)

Good all round performance last night, nice to see Quincy rounding their forward less then 15mins into his return  JT needed some goals and got them, sure he will have forgotten his air shot from 3 yards out by now!! Though Greg had a decent game, no he didn`t score, but for those paying attention i`m sure you noticed how much he brings other players into the game and very rarely if ever goes charging up blind alleys for no other reason than the goal is in that direction. Only down side fro me was, last night was without doubt a very good opportunity to beat the Club record 9-0 biggest win, should have been double figures and could have been more than Northants CCC averaged per innings last season. Football in the 2nd half was quick and incisive and would have pulled better teams than BPW apart so i`m not going to complain about a 7-1 away win.
On a non playing note, a few minor details.
Can someone tell Horace from Ploppynet, no we didn`t trash anything as he predicted so looks like they still have a Northant`s monopoly regarding mindless fans.
The crowd 155  though I think I am able to explain this, given Ploppies (in full racing colour`s) were in charge of the turnstiles, money and joined up counting, and excepting the fact an extra digit is present on each hand. Assuming they compiled their final figures in lots of "handfulls" then 155 would become 186 which is in fact within 15% of the 200+ that were there, and if 10% was a sales commission to go towards the latest "bale the Ploppies out fund" then I guess they were correct. Not sure if this Cup is a shared gate receipt, but if it is presume it`s shared 3 ways, and by the time expenses  come out (did the game warrant about 10 stewards, and a car park attendant for every vehicle) we may get £100
And finally, the 2 clowns standing at the bar, the were 3 to start with sitting down, but I think bottle top got lost on his way back from the toilets, all in Ploppy shirts and more, not sure what the point they were trying to make was, but to me if comparing to wine tasting I was getting a distinct blend of "look at us 2 c..ks, how f..k.ng ridiculous do we look", with a hint of "well at least someone acknowledge our presence we made a special effort to come here and try and wind you lot up and all you have done is either laugh at or ignore us". I must apologize to them as I may have appeared rude the time I spent staring at them, the reasons being, at first I did think it was 2 Men, then I noticed one looked heavily pregnant, to which I thought strange, then thought K*ttering so not so strange, the other one frequently looked longingly at the possibly expectant one and I became even more confused. If the 2nd was in fact pregnant not just an overweight p..ck in an ill fitting football shirt, I presume the other was either his, Partner, Husband, Brother, Cousin or Father, or any combination up to a maximum of 3 of the afore mentioned.
So all you lot be very thankful, things may not always be that great but it could be a lot worse :o
