Am I allowed to criticise on this board without being banned or being told not to say anything negative?

Well I won't ban you but can't guarantee you won't be shot down. ;)
To get banned you've got to go above and beyond being irritating. For example, being a fan of one of our rivals and consistantly coming on here trying to wind people up.

Ok, I applaud the efforts to widen afcrd and start a women's team but seriously, that poster/advert is a disgrace. It's so massively sexist I'm amazed that someone official has passed it off as acceptable.

To fill you in on the background we've tried all the posters we normally use to attract players, kids playing football, smiling kids with trophies etc and the take up hasn't been great.
Although I wasn't involved in the design I saw it before it was released and I think it's great and will really get noticed.
Our research tells us that girls are interested in playing football but that most of them would prefer to play as part of a girls team and not a mixed team. We also have to take into account that at a young age then to start with the parents are the target market.
This ticks every box as far as I am concerned.

I think it's a brilliant advert and applaud the 'thinking outside of the box' approach that seems to be connected with everything that is happening behind the scenes in the attempt for our Club to be a part of the wider community.
Keep up the good work. ;)

I don't understand why the poster is sexist - Marilyn Monroe is famous for singing "Diamonds are a girl's best friend"... this makes for a catchy slogan... there is a picture of Marilyn on the poster in one of her most iconic poses... she is wearing an AFC shirt.
I wonder if any female forum users would care to comment on whether they feel that the poster is sexist?

I do not find it to be sexist, or offensive to women. SS

It wouldn't surprise me if people do find it sexist - my initial thought was it could potentially create debate due to the skirt/high heels. (Skirt opinion being linked to the women's boxing controversy)
I do think the poster could be improved though. (Personal opinion again, don't shoot me down)
- The black writing isn't appealing enough for what is trying to be advertised.
- The logo, picture and 'Diamonds are a girl's best friend' are all pixalated.
- I feel the whole professionalism of the layout could be improved.
I'm not a designer, so don't say 'If you can do better than why don't you'.
