One of the best we've had this season. Only a short young bloke who didn't take any crap and didnt bottle it for the penalty or the red cardBartonRaz wrote:
Can't remember the last time I said this, but I thought the referee had a good game today. Got the vast majority of decisions spot on.

Looking forward to the highlights and seeing Liam's hat trick celebrations - I think he enjoyed that !!
Buzzing for next Saturday already !! 11 more cup finals to go !!
I am rather hoping we have twelve more cup finals.

Fair point, but we're not in the other cup final yetsussexdiamond wrote:Pigman wrote:Here, here !! Totally dominant performance - shame it took so long to get the first goal, we could have hit 15 ;) (I'm never happy  ).

Win those 11 league "cup finals" and win the title and I'll gladly lose the "other" potential cup final by the same score line we won by yesterday - I'd love to win a league and cup double, but my eyes are firmly on the prize of lifting the league title. I still believe that if we win all 11 then we'll be champions !!

Excellent, 9-0 win,
11 games to go.
7 at home and 4 away. We need to force on one game at a time, (bagging the 3 points) putting more pressure on the teams below.
Lets go to Huntingdon and bag the 3 points.

I think the official Diamonds website match review clearly forgot how many we actually did score by half time ...

Desborough picked up a 2nd and 3rd booking in the final stages of the half to add to the early booking for a poor challenge on Richard Bunting. This time it was a real crunching challenge on Matt Gearing that had fans wincing, and a second player was later booked for dissent.
Half-time: Desborough Town 0 – AFC Rushden & Diamonds 9
Early possession was used well at the start of the second half by Diamonds with Matt Gearing stroking one great pass with the outside of his boot to put Tommy Berwick away on the left. His lobbed effort sailed just wide.

What didn't help either the match reporter or the Radio Diamonds team was that we were unable to get a Desborough teamsheet or find it on twitter.
I gather that Troy Johnson did in fact start for Ar Tarn, had we known it would have been noted that he played in the very first AFC R & D match v Thrapston.

Clearly confused many. FA Full Time site has Desborough winning 3-0 at halftime.MarkH wrote:I think the official Diamonds website match review clearly forgot how many we actually did score by half time ...
