Desperate measures.....
Re: Desperate measures.....
All of this is happening almost exactly two years after Keith Cousins revealed the full extent of the Diamonds problems, and I think the KTFC fans will similarly realise once the full facts are known that this was the tipping point at which their whole future depended upon. As has been said earlier, until they know the full picture, any contributions they make to try to keep things going is in danger of just reducing debts without any guarantee it will secure the future of the club.

They'll stump up whatever amount that HMRC are asking for and the SL won't kick them out at the AGM after giving them all that time this season. They've had loads of winding-up orders, one more wont hurt.Formic wrote:All of this is happening almost exactly two years after Keith Cousins revealed the full extent of the Diamonds problems, and I think the KTFC fans will similarly realise once the full facts are known that this was the tipping point at which their whole future depended upon. I do think Ladak will come back in the summer to mess them around though, there has to be some reason he's still holding onto the ownership and it's obviously not a good one as far as they're concerned.

That's no different to WTFC; the D&D is also owned by a third party, not the football club.Sid wrote:I'm no expert, but I don't think BPW will gain in any great way like Welly have. They themselves are only tenants at Latimer Park, so I assume any rent paid will be straight to the landlord.

K*ttering live to fight another 56 days at least.
I'd love to meet K*ttering's lawyer, he must be a magician.

Unbelievable how many times they've got let off the hook over the past year and half, just when you think that could be it for them, they somehow manage to limp on

They were never going to be wound up today. Every club has winding up orders, unless they're massive they're always thrown out/adjourned. We had 2-3 the year we made the playoffs!

Re: Desperate measures.....
They've just announced plans for an Academy and Community set-up for next season.
Unless they are doing what we have done on the Community side in working together with an established Junior Football Club then I can't see how that will work.
It could lead to one or more teams at one or more clubs in K*ttering folding through lack of players.
Also I can't see how any parent would want to commit any money to an organisation that has been more successful warding off HMRC than it has bringing though youngsters, where will the money go?

Their challenge will be to convince parents that their money will go on their Academy, and not into the black hole that is KTFC's accounts - especially if "he who cannot be named" is still involved in the club. Such a contrast to the way ours is run eh?
