[ Sat 18th Aug ] v Thrapston KO 3pm (DeBanke 2:15pm)
Re: The 18th
So this is it, it's massive, this is what we have worked so hard for over the past 12 months.
What we have achieved in a short while is amazing, nothing short of astonishing, fans running a football club!, pah, well we are doing it and we are doing it well, we know what fans want as we are fans.
It is our opportunity to silence the doubters, the snide remarkers, the "it's not the same" brigade, this is our chance to show the people who killed our football club what we are about, that we didn't just go quietly, that we weren't there just to feather peoples nests, the people who ruined what max built, the people that have gotten away with it, the people who thought we were some insignificant group, who could be tossed away when it didn't suit.
This is the time to show everyone in Northants, in football what we are about, if you know someone thinking of coming on saturday bring them along, someone with nothing to do on saturday bring them along, a groundhopper bring them along. If you can put a poster up, tell someone about the game help in any way to spread the word, do it.
Mrs De Banke will be opening the Peter De Banke Terrace at 2.15pm on saturday, come and be a part of it
This is just the start of a wonderful journey,If you only come to one match this season make it this one on saturday and be part of history.

Re: The 18th
I felt my heart swell reading that
I am so excited about next Saturday, it is a monumental day in our history - don't miss it, spread the word and get as many people there as possible.
A few practical things to mention:
Please get there early !! Remember, we have 2 turnstiles only and a small number of volunteers to help on matchdays - please don't all turn up with a few minutes to go before KO expecting to stroll in, help us to help you access the ground by arriving in plenty of time and spreading the load on the turnstiles. We have the opening of our new stand taking place at 2.15pm - it'd be great to see people there for that and to pay their respects to PDB !!
THERE IS NO PARKING AT THE GROUND !! So please, again, give yoursleves time to get parked and walk down to the ground - there is limited parking at the ground for disabled, but this is on a first come first served basis, we cannout guarantee parking for disabled, but will try to accommodate people if we can. Parking/directions information can be found here: http://www.afcdiamonds.com/directions-t ... g-and-duck
If you can help us on the day by volunteering, please do. Remember, we're all fans/volunteers, so any help that can be given by you will be gratefully received.
Please also be patient when it come to getting served with food and drink, the Dog and Duck is no Nene Park and the facilities there are limited, but we'll all do our very best to make your visit to the D&D a good one
Exciting times are ahead for us, Saturday is the start of the journey. It seems like an age getting to this point, but I can't wait. Win, lose or draw, to just be on the field next Saturday is an achievement - where the journey takes us to next is anyone's guess

I'll be there with a couple of others. One of which might even be a lady
You're knocked out with who I am,
Look at you now, you're all in my hands.
