I personally do not think that it has anything to do with as regards to Conference rules, constitution, management etc. but due more to the fact that too many Conference Premier clubs are acting as fully fledged professional full-time set ups but without the required income to balance the books. It's no coincidence that there are at present the largest number of ex-league clubs in the BSP in it's history.BartonRaz wrote: I don't think it's any coincidence that Blue Square sides are dropping like flies at the moment, they don't do enough to protect their member clubs.

I didn't know that but still don't think it is as fair as it could be. Is the FL Board made up of representatives from all member clubs or just selected ones? Same question for the Conference Board.
We'll have to agree to disagree re: the golf day, publicised or not that doesn't make it right. Keith Cousins (whether you choose to believe a word he said in hindsight) all but told us that Southport weren't doing us any favours, sending letters to the Conference regarding our informal creditor meetings, and then a week or two after they're all off playing golf together? Come on now. I have a bit of a gripe with Southport anyway after what happened so my view is probably blinkered. ;)

Also, does anyone know how they decide who sits on the respective boards? Just interested.

Re: Desperate measures.....
The usual format is for individuals to be proposed, seconded and then put to a vote by member clubs representatives. There will always be vested interests on certain matters. Helen Thompson was, until very recently, a board member.BartonRaz wrote:Also, does anyone know how they decide who sits on the respective boards? Just interested.

I'd love it if all the Poppies memorabilia ended up in a skip, in the same way all the diamonds stuff at Nene Park did.

I think Mr Pickering has siezed back the Ground in Kettrin for non payment.
Sadact is playing a game, yes he does have Nene Park to play games so the loss of the Kettrin ground is not going to hurt him at present but how long will Pickering continue to wait if no money appears to pay for the old lease before he goes for a winding up order.

Kick in the teeth for KTFC's supporters trust who can't use their social club (Tin Hat) which stops them raising vital funds at the present time because the bailiffs have changed the locks. Apparently their Trust have a separate sub-lease with IL on the use of the social club building and have been paying him rent.Biggles wrote:

Re: Desperate measures.....
that would appear to be unlucky. as is the case with these things, it's only the fans that get hurt. the people responsible always walk away without any egg on their faces.
did all our rdfc history get throw in a skip then? if so, that seems a bit petty by the owner of nene park.
we'll just have to start again.....
