The facebook campaign is doing really well with 500 likes and so once bozzer sorts out the paypal donations there is potential there as I have a few ideas of how to market it, also why don't we try to get a few people up at diamonds car boot next sunday with buckets. The car boot on a sunny day must have a few thousand people going through and so there is potential there and at the same time why not do a sale in the club shop, get a few people to volunteer to work in their over Sunday morning (I for one will be happy to do that) and shift some stock, maybe even try and sell some of those support wristbands for our campaign with money going to the R.D.S.T.

Also I have emailed the virgin group as they have previously sponsored football clubs in the FA cup so you never know.

I would like to see a ownership at RDFC that looks like this:
35% Keith Cousins
35%Max Griggs (I'm sure he ahs enough money to meet this level)
20%R.D.S.T/Fans group
10% The equity the beasents are trying to sell.
This would give us fresh ideas from the fans less financial input from one single owner to give the club some protection, although of course this is in a dream world.

Can I bump my earlier question about actions that still need an owner ?

a) Someone to check out the Wrexham situation - how their trust raised funds, and how they dealt with the challenges they faced.

b) Someone to writw words relating to requests for donations - how the funds will be protected, what will happen if they aren't used, etc - the sort of Terms and conditions stuff we never had for the Fans Share Scheme.

The latter stage has to wait untill Tuesday when we get account details for the donations and talk to the trust about how the finances will be kept. I'll see what I can do regarding wrexham.

FAO - Diamond Mad & Formic

I have sent you a PM regarding CVA. I prepared some notes on CVA for everyone on here to read, but want to tie this in with the information on the League's view on CVA and their sanctions, as its crucial.

I've had some really constructive meetings during Monday, with the help of the Supporters' Trust and others, to look at what might happen next.

There are ideas ready to put in place quickly, contingent on what happens at the meeting - making sure that any suggestion is "all embracing" - with all roles available to people who can commit their time / skills - not restricted to Trust Members and with no "pre-defined roles" - nor a reliance on people being "online" to get the information.

I believe there is a really strong commitment amongst the fans to sort this problem out - and now I've seen the background to what the Trust has been doing / planning can see they are tuned in to what is happening (and what might happen next) and have resources in place to help out. I also had a few surprises in some of the things I found out.

I'll be ready to hand the website / project management etc over to anyone who picks up those roles going forwards too - I'm on holiday for quite a while in the next few weeks (the usual plan of booking holidays in the close season don't seem quite such a good idea, in hindsight, this season)

We're mentioned on Page 4 of the Chron. I'm not sure i've seen Rushden & Diamonds ever outside of the sport section of that paper.

I suspect RDFC will be on the front page tomorrow !
Hopefully we'll get the full picture tonight and then we can all move on in one direction or another.
I'll take my dictaphone to record the meeting.
