Proves what you're all about really, absolutely no substance in what you say and when you're proven wrong you turn into a grammar Nazi, same with the lad in that other thread.

Please keep it on topic, if you want to talk to each other use the PM service. It's getting boring.

Hmmm, I've been there fella and it has to be said and come out that Dale Roberts didn't just die, he took his own life. It's absolutely gutting to us but in effect he quit, he gave up, he couldn't go on so he killed himself. Everyone who was left behind after such a tragic choice was devastated, me included. My mate died of an asthma attack, but I held on. This club must hold on and I believe JE is the man to bring the positivity back after the gloom and negativity that has enveloped us. The team must now grasp that life is short, and play to win in their mate's honour, not give up as he did. It's currently playing with fear and being reactive not proactive and this must change. I saw signs of recovery yesterday, their keeper made two world class saves and they cleared another couple off the line (and we had another goal disallowed), but it wasn't enough. We've been a touch unlucky, it has to be hard work and good management that lifts the spirits around the place again.
We shall come out of this, we shall HOLD ON.

So out of interest, how long until people stop using Dale's death as the reason for our poor performances?
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

When they feel able to deal with it, and move on. There is no absolute answer, so I suggest you stop looking for one cos you'll feel a lot happier about it then ;)
Neither of us are players at the club so cannot relate to what has been going on behind the scenes, we have to let management sort them out.

I don't think there was any mention of lack of respect to be fair.

At the end of the day, football is a results business. It's a good job we had a reasonably successful start of the season, or else we would find ourselves in a relegation battle as early as now.

We need to remember that the funeral was only last week and it would have been very hard to put any feelings to rest until his funeral.

As for JE, how you can say before that we where in poor form is very strange i think the table speaks for its self. He may not have the best tactical knowledge at the moment but there is only one way he can improve this and that is by being given the chance to manage this club and help it forwards, he is undoubtably one of the best managers in this league.

Fergie was nearly sacked right at the start of his United Career and look what he has gone on to acheive. im not saying JE is anything close to AF but he does not deserve to be outed
R.I.P Dale Roberts, Never Forgotten.

Yes, lets get things into perspective, sure their teammate died and players carried his coffin last week, but we lost to Altrincham and that is inexcusable and oh so important

If I still turn up to Nene Park feeling differently about the importance of football this season, lord knows how his friends are feeling.

I can't believe how quickly some people have seemingly moved back to the 100% importance of a league result and now talk about Dale's death purely in footballing terms of relevance. I know time goes on, and the club moves on, but I think it would be very hard to do this season.
