Best World Cup advert i've seen.

Post by mattreddan »

Now I don't really like adverts, but I have seen this loads of times and it still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up every time I hear the "Do it for Bobby" line. Really nice tribute to one of the true gentlemen of the game.

I haven't looked to check it is the Carlsberg one, but i guess it is.

I know the bloke that wrote that team talk. He is my football team manager at Uni. He entered the Carlsberg competition and won. He has already met John Terry, had a meal at Wembley with Andy Cole, and he is being flown to Austria (all expenses paid from door to door) to watch England train for 2 days. He has free tickets to the game against Mexico and has a load of other free England goodies to boot.

Not bad, eh? Who says competitions aren't worth entering!

Watch them train for two days? I'd have been on the ale by 10 am! :P

On a tangent, the Sony TV ads with the little kids playing at a Big Stadium brings a tear to ones eyes, especially when the little chubby kid in the red shirt scores>
