Using 5, 5, 5, 5, 5. You need to get 24.

You can use a -, divide, *, + in between the 5's.

I can do it in four:

5 x 5 - 5 / 5.

Or, if you prefer brackets to make things clearer:

(5 x 5) - (5 /5)
= 25 - 1
= 24

Here's another question -

In football, what's the only direct free kick offence (ie not an indirect free kick) that is not committed against an individual opponent?

Using all the fives, 5 x 5 x 5 - 5 / 5 ( 5x5 = 25 x5= 125 -5 = 120 /5 = 24)
