I am not so sure about the back 5 now , Tagoe and Davies thrown their hat inThree of Diamonds wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2023 8:35 pm Yes it's a really difficult place to be, a good problem for the manager. Midfield is the question for me, Jones and Anderson should start up front and the back 5 are fairly set. I want an all action middle of the park so we start high tempo.

Buzzing for tomorrow, glad the break has gone quickly, doesn't feel like 3 months since we won at Kings Langley.
Can't wait to see these lads in competitive action, not a clue what to expect in terms of where we'll be in the league, obviously we want to aim to go straight back up, but I do get the feeling this squad is a building for the future squad as opposed to one that will get instant success.
Would love to win tomorrow, it would be a statement of intent to beat a team that made the playoffs last season. Will we get a decent crowd for it and maybe a few from the legends day, hopefully, 450 would be a decent crowd!

Ref allowed the opposition to referee the game. Apart from that, thought we'd done alright. Could have been different, if that first half chance had gone in.

I think they shaded it on their first half display, but some dreadful decisions by the ref and also we were out muscled i thought as well. 2nd half we matched them

Yes I do feel we should have got something from the game, they really wasn’t anything apart from having some big lumps . But feel concerned.
Hopefully we can find the right starting 11, formation and ID of how we play .
Wanted to see Tagoe ,Davis and Johnston down the right today. Kerrin and garwood seem way off as a partnership .
Btw where’s Chris?

A good solid start against 1 of.the promotion chasers. Rose was outstanding. Massingham & Harriman immense at the back (in fact all back 5 were strong today) still missing a creative spark in midfield IMO (LPL doesn't look quite up to.speed just.yet) Pharell needs to scream & whine more like (not so) sporting Khalsa to win more decisions. We have to learn to play the ref aswell as the opposition (unfortunately). Positive start boys. Well done. On to Spalding
